I think it's because the game swaps the sprites when they turn around; and if they are facing to the left, they will start dancing facing to the left.

I think that's kind of normal, because when you pause the letters appear; and when you get all 4 letters and pause, they still get collected =P

There appears to be server issues in http://img172.imageshack.us/ (where the Blizzard's image was saved).
Normally, those are restored in a few hours But if you're not sure, you can ask Cody if he still has the image in his HDD.

I think that's because barrels are not as heavy as the Kongs (you know, that's why they bounce so much when you throw them), and when the platform moves, it moves faster than how much the barrel's weight takes it down, and it ends up bouncing; since it is in the air, it starts rolling xD
