Why post a whole playlist when one could post the single video they are most likely from? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UUKWNUIwIY Also, that playlist didn't even have all the sounds! This video here has all of the ones in the videos in that playlist, and more! Like all those amazing burp sounds,...
Aw man, I know what it's like to lose a pet. I used to have a cat. :dixiecry: Oh well. Here, have an interesting DK fact. DID YOU KNOW, that in Mario Kart 64, despite what it sounds like, DK's "voice" clips are NOT "stock sounds" like Bowser's were, but rather his sound effects w...
Aw man, one is unable to vote for more than one game! Although that is probably to prevent people from just selecting all the Rareware-made games at once. Ah well, I decided to pick DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 3: DIXIE KONG'S DOUBLE TROUBLE :dixiehappy: :kiddycool: :nicework:  :bleak: Bec...
I didn't notice the first time, but you know that article that says the SNES is forgotten and hard to find? Yeah, well it also said that Super Mario 64 is almost a Nintendo exclusive. ALMOST. :mario: The word "almost" in there is implying that around the 2000 period, Super Mario 64 was por...
Neat! Oh, also it's not just the music that's lower pitched and slower, EVERY SOUND EFFECT is also like this. Well, except for the KONG letter and Army sounds, mind you, those are the only two ones shown in the video which were brand new for DKC GBC... I'd say that the low pitch and slowness would b...
Heck, the MK8 roster is disappointing from anyone's perspective. Baby Daisy, Baby Rosalina, and Pink Gold Peach are all dumb because they don't exist in the other games, and were MADE for Mario Kart. (And Baby Peach is okay because she actually played major roles in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Ti...
Yes, having to pay almost a dozen Banana Coins to fight Krow (and other bosses) of all things is ridiculous. If anything, if Rareware didn't want Swanky to become useless after you beat all his quizzes, why didn't they make the quizzes re-playable? I would have preferred that option, especially to h...
Actually, that image, with all those facotry sealed games reminds me of something. You know what bugs me about people who collect and display "factory sealed" games? The fact that that's all they do with 'em. They buy them, with the original plastic wrap, and just display them somewhere. T...
On Tumblr, I found this thing, which was from Nintendo's official facebook site. https://24.media.tumblr.com/098d09c14e5261c90c04a501b2fbfe20/tumblr_modxztzhTf1ru99l4o1_500.jpg Looks like they never forgot Kiddy and Swanky after all! (Although Chunky's not there) Also, I found it genuinely surprisin...
There really should be a topic for people to post renders that are not in the gallery, so that whoever is in charge of the gallery can have one specific place to look for them.
(Plus, I found 2 really neat DKC3 renders I've never seen before )
what Now, I've been playing way too much Super Mario Bros. 2 :mario: All day, every day. :mario: Because I have it on NES, SNES, GBA, Wii, & 3DS. :mario: And I already beat the NES version with Toad only, no Warp Zones, and (on 3DS) no Restore Points. :mario: Currently attempting that with Princ...
At first, the head looked odd, but after seeing it (pretty much) complete, and from the same angle as that Master Necky art, now it looks perfectly fine.
The shape of the eyes, and the area where the beak meets the neck look a bit weird. They are both too flat. And the pupil seems to be a little too small. Actually, the beak itself is a little weird too. Here's a render of (Master) Necky's head, for reference. http://www.mariowiki.com/images/4/42/Mas...
That's so lazy. I'm pretty sure Cranky'd have a few words to say to whomever designed that site! Anyway, I'm thinking of posting a thing, with stuff about the SMW Hack I am making. Sure, you may think "But Geno, SMWCentral is a thing!", and you'd be right! Although currently, it is ...
Well, I started playing and DKC:TF seems to have much better physics than DKCR. Also, I noticed something on the Kong Family section of the figurines menu. There's spots for DK, Diddy, Dixie, Cranky, & Funky on the top, but then there's 4 extra spaces at the bottom. First thing I though ...
Yes, this is a very large bump. Although this isn't quite the kind of oddity that you appeared to have expected to be posted here, it is an oddity surrounding DKC3 GBA in general. Which is the game's Japanese commercial . At first, you may be wondering why this is so odd. Sure, the usage of JB DK al...
Neat! If Dixie and Chunky were in there, they'd have all of the playable characters from the DK series at that point in time. Plus Cranky and Taj. But the Lanky Kong and Kiddy Kong models look awesome. I'd even go as far as to say that of the Donkey Kong Racing characters, those two appear to have t...
Merry birthday DKC Atlas! :dixiehappy: :swanky: :funky: :diddywink: I just checked out the gallery. So many cool renders of the Kongs going through levels! Although I'm surprised that this render isn't in the DKC2 section. http://cutstuff.net/molly/DBBKUP/MARIOANDDIDDYDKC2.png
I didn't really like Stickerbrush Symphony or the underwater version of Lockjaw's Saga, but the others were great. Also, Aquatic Ambiance sounds like a mix between the original track, and DKC3 GBA's Water World. It's funny how the Stickerbrush Symphony remix is used in water levels, when the origina...
... banana. After receiving the banana, and bumping this old topic once again, you need to find a tiny, banana-shaped keyhole in Rocket Rush . IN order to look for it successfully, you have to do that glitch that allows both Kongs to go through the area without the rocket. Once you find the hole (wh...
Hey, HEY! It has taken over Canada as well! Just because many of those people down there forget my country exists, doesn't mean everyone needs to! (by the way, I'm not angry) So, to answer your question, what sure. I haven't been down there in years, but since it is so close to Canada, I assume they...
double post whatever People didn't really seem to care about that last one anyway. One day, a while ago, I started to re-create the Northern Kremisphere in Minecraft. I was going for the scale of the player in Minecraft is at the same scale of the Kongs appearance in the SUBMAPS (so the main world m...
Another thing that code does, is mess up the levels. Many of them have misplaced terrain, or missing chunks of land! Here are some examples Lemguin Luge http://cutstuff.net/molly/DBBKUP/screen/Donkey%20Kong%20Country%203%20-%20Dixie%20Kong%27s%20Double%20Trouble%20%28U%29%20%5B%21%5D_00051.png Konve...
double post whatever I found a Game Genie code for DKC3 that is maximum glitchiness. It is very unpredictable. HOWEVER, one of the things it does is scrambles the text for level names, which sometimes creates humorous results. The mixed up level names aren't always the same, with the exception of Wo...
So, I was on TCRF's page for the DK64 kiosk demo, right? And I read a section showing that the in-game DK Island pictures originally used the DKC version instead of the DK64 version used in the final picture. Here it is. http://tcrf.net/images/9/92/Dk64_dkisland.png However, I noticed something was ...
Clearly, this "Blast Processing" rubbish was just Sega's way of marketing the system to get more people to buy it, over Nintendo's systems. (Of course Nintendo eventually got back at them with a certain game about apes... ) They were continuously going on about the Genesis being &...
It was not DKC3, it was DKC1. I was just merely stating that many images I saw on the internet of DKC3 GBA carts were images of fake ones. My DKC3 GBA cart is 100% real. The reason why the fake DKC GBA was so convincing, was that it had the CORRECT label art, and everything, however one little thing...
Welp, the worst possible thing happened. So, I just recently finished my "DK Collection", with all versions of the original games, all 3 DKLs, DK64, DKR, and DKCR. WELP, just the other day, I realized "what. My copy of the original DKC is fake" :dixiecry: :kiddysad: ht...
Hmmm. I may watch some of these later, as I can guess they'll be readily available to watch any time on a site like You Tube, after this even is over and done with. Viewing the list that was posted, there are probably quite a few games I'd be interested in wat- ching..... dammit, now I will never be...
Welp, it only took a matter of time, but I got to World http://cutstuff.net/molly/DBBKUP/TextCrown.png in Super Mario 3D World. And let me tell you, boy is it hard! World http://cutstuff.net/molly/DBBKUP/TextCrown.png - http://cutstuff.net/molly/DBBKUP/TextCrown.png is the hardest thing since Animal...
And now, since I've played through Pacifica, here's a special GBA special of "Geno gripes about difficult levels, and attempts to convince everybody that enjoyment of these levels is what all this complaining is about"! Stormy Seas - The level isn't that bad, but the Krackas hidden behind ...
When I was lurking around the Mario Wiki, I learnt that apparently, they tried to improve Ellie's and the toboggan's controls. I HATE the new Ellie and toboggan controls! The whole DOWN+R thing to suck up water is annoying, and the toboggan's floaty jumps are weird and throw off ALL of my timing. :e...
I got my copy of DKC3 GBA today! It works really well! And Kiddy's crying on GBA still melts my hearing! :kiddysad: EDIT: I got to Pacifica, and I gotta say, the levels are A LOT neater than I thought they would be. I have a sudden urge to re-create their terrain using parts from the SNES levels...
I initially tossed this in the DKC3 beta discussion topic, but it really goes here. I re-created those early Extra Life Balloon graphics seen in the Brazilian commercial, as well as the GBA port, for some reason. http://cutstuff.net/molly/DBBKUP/dkc3%20beta%20extra%20life%20balloons.png For some rea...
Remember those early balloon graphics seen in early footage? And how they mysteriously resurfaced in the GBA port of DKC3? Well, I've re-created them. http://cutstuff.net/molly/DBBKUP/dkc3%20beta%20extra%20life%20balloons.png Also, in that video, I can't help but notice that the Bounty Bass render w...
