Re: Unused Sprites found in DKC Trilogy!

So Kopter was, at one point, intended to be defeated? It's impossible to defeat him in-game, isn't it?

Re: DKC1 Bonus Room Archtypes.

Collect the bananas, it's fun and relaxing. I don't like bash the baddies... those Klaptraps get on my nerves.

Re: Fire Emblem

You should give it a shot. I'd recommend the first Fire Emblem on the GBA as a good game to get into the series.

Re: Favorite Level

Thinking about it, this game didn't really have that great of levels as we could've hoped. But Creepy Castle is my favorite. The ball room used to scare me when I was younger.

Re: Favorite Boss

I'd say don't worry about bumping topics here... they all get old.

King Krusha K. Rool, for sure. One of my favorite boss fights all time, actually. The cut scenes were comical, to boot.

Re: Where is the Northern Kremisphere?!?1

Ahh, Donkey Kong Country geographics. An interesting subject. Donkey Kong Island is really large, that's for sure. The size of a large country . Its vertical height is impressive. The same can be said for Crocodile Isle. On a side note, I think Crocodile Isle is gloomy and unkept because the Kremlin...

Re: Gone, and Back Again

For these reasons, DKC3 and DKC were a lot more similar to eachother than DKC2. More natural, happy levels. I guess that's what makes DKC2 unique.

Re: Theory - Pacifica in DKC3 SNES?

So Pacifica was most likely intended for the SNES, but the general idea as to why it wasn't was because DKC3 was rushed? That makes sense. I was disappointed with the DKC port because it didn't add a new level or a new boss like DKC2 and DKC3 did. DKC could've used more levels... ah, oh well. Atleas...

Re: What's your favorite world?

This is one of the hardest decisions I've had to make. :)

I'm going with Krem Quay. Swamps are great, it has a ship deck level, brambles, and my favorite boss.

Re: What level archetypes do you prefer the most?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That's what I figured though, you were counting gameplay and not actual terrain type.

Kaptain K. Rool. If I recall, it was one of the hardest bosses I have ever struggled with.

Dude, quit closing the polls! :D

I would have vote for the Boardwalk levels. I just love them, for some reason. Maybe it's because of the background... cliffs are fun too.

Re: DKC using same sound for multiple actions

Squidges movements sound the same as Enguarde's attack. Roc-Kroc's footsteps sounds the same as when Donkey Kong lands on the ground.

Re: What level archetypes do you prefer the most?

Well, if you still care, I vote Forests. I absolutely love the atmosphere and music of them. I wish there was more than 2 forest levels. By the way, Minecart shouldn't be different from mines. They have the same terrain, background, etc. Unless you're counting minecart as seperate because it has rai...

Re: DKL: Why weren't its sequels as inventive?

Yeah, Donkey Kong Land 2 and Donkey Kong Land III weren't unique. They had the same level types as their DKC counterpart, and just different layouts. Donkey Kong Land 1 though, that game was GREAT. I loved it so much, because it was unique. It introduced new enemies, new bosses, and new level archet...

Re: Guestbook

Very, very nice. I'm extremely impressed. I learned a whooooole lot of stuff just from looking at the Jungle Hi-Jinx section. I had no idea there were blue balloons, or you could complete the level without jumping. It makes me glad to see there's still DKC love around. I can't wait until it's finish...
