Re: Music

I agree with you on Haunted Chase. It has the same "all over the place" chord progression that Grant is known for.

Re: The 'Kremling Force Power' - what is it really?

My main inspiration for the theory is that both Krocodile Kore and the Crystal Bananas radiate the same wavy blue energy. http://www.mariowiki.com/images/b/bd/KrocodileKore.png The enclosed structure that the blue energy is channeling out from could be where the sixth Crystal Banana resides. Also, t...

Where did the Spirowarps come from?

The Spirowarps in JC seem to be one of if not the most sophisticated inventions the Kremling Army has to its name, but we don't know where they came from or how they were created.

Maybe the Kremlings harnessed the power of DK64's warp pads and focused it into machine form. Your thoughts?

Discuss.

Re: The 'Kremling Force Power' - what is it really?

First off, I don't the Kremling Power Source actually creates Kremlings. I think it "sentienized" a group of Crocodiles that wandered near it hundreds of years ago, and the traits the first crocodiles acquired from the power source were passed down the family line through reproduction (as ...

Re: Rare reusing music in games

This is pretty minor, but a small (and I mean small) section of DK64's DK Island theme can be heard in one of Viva Pinata's "Day" background songs.

Re: VG Music in Unusual Places (AKA "Trucks & Mario themes")

A few weeks ago I was standing at the checkout in my local pharmacy, and I could swear this 60-70 year old man behind me was whistling Click Clock Wood to himself.

Hmm.

Re: Banjo is Back!

Before my 360 red ringed (You can't avoid it. It'll happen to all of you someday!), I managed to take and upload some pretty cool snapshots. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y38/will2010/Banjo%20pictures/9E344B8A14094F3B80E0.jpg There's one building near Trophy Thomas's house that has a passable roo...

Re: Help with 100% on Jungle Climber.

Ah, I assumed the infinite games had no ratings for whatever reason.

But now the 100% ending is mine! Mucho thanks, Tiptup.

Re: Help with 100% on Jungle Climber.

Thanks for looking, Jr. I've completed all of Dixie's Extra Games, have a C rank on each of Candy's Challenges (my percentage has never increased upon getting higher ranks so I doubt that's the problem), listened to all of Cranky's lectures, have all of the story cutscenes and cheats (except for the...

Re: Help with 100% on Jungle Climber.

Tiptup, I thought at the DKU you said only a C rank is needed in Candy's Challenges.

If this is the case...then I'm screwed!

Re: Help with 100% on Jungle Climber.

I don't think that's it, gamerboy. I just got A ranks in half of Candy's games and my percentage never went up.

Help with 100% on Jungle Climber.

I've beaten the game, collected every Oil Barrel, DK Coin, and Banana Coin, completed all 11 Extra Stages, and have a C rank or higher in every one of Candy's challenges (the ones that have ranks, anyway).

But I'm still at only 94%. Can anyone help me out?

Re: What Video Game Systems Do You Own?

Selling a GBA? I don't think you'll be able to get more than $5 bucks for it, at the most. Yeah, and I bet most people wouldn't be willing to part with a whole week's income to buy something so out-dated. That said, despite me having two working Super Nintendos already, I'd lay down $50 for an as-n...

Re: What Video Game Systems Do You Own?

Of those listed, I have a Nintendo 64, Gamecube, DS, 360, and Wii.

I still play my N64 more than any of them, though.

Re: Favorite Animal?

Rawky! It's been a while. :) I must have lured you here with that grizzly-looking beast above... or maybe the croc he's holding. So you like Aussie fauna? They are a wonderfully bizarre lot. Especially those monotremes! Indeed it has. :O I'd like to have a pet Platypus one day... too bad they have ...

Re: Mario Kart Wii

IGN said snaking will be harder to pull off in this game than Mario Kart DS, so that's good. (even though I rawked at snaking) And did y'all see that course with the giant mushroom platforms? That looks like it might be the greatest Mario Kart course yet!

I can't wait to see Rainbow Road Wii.

Re: Guestbook

Sean's right, the detail you've incorporated into the site is amazing. It actually flows with the feel of the DK series, unlike the DKU(not saying that's a bad thing, but you catch my drift).

Can't wait to see the DKC Atlas develop.
