Re: How And Why Did You Get Into DKC?

My best childhood friend owned a SNES and several games. I always wanted to play DKC whenever I went over and, years later, I remembered how much fun I had with it and got it with my own SNES.

Another friend with a SNES had DKC2, but I didn't see as much of her.

Re: Movie/TV show thread

The Brave Little Toaster is a brilliant film - they used to show it over here during the Christmas holidays every year when I was a kid, and I still remember the time they showed it and cut my favourite song (City of Light) from the viewing.

Re: DK643DS??

I'm going to agree with the majority and say that I would much rather a new DK than DK64 go to the 3DS. Don't get me wrong, I would love to play DK64, but only if they did something to not make it seem such a trawl to get through levels. Every time I tried to play it, I just found it too tedious.

Re: Battletoads: What Rare Was Like Before DKC and Banjo-Kazooie

I don't think the AVGN was ever trying to make the game sound bad, per se... Just that it was frustratingly difficult and two-player made it even more so.

I can't say I have ever played it but have played other Rare NES games, like Solar Jetman, The Legend of Digger T. Rock and Anticipation.

I'm still wracking my brain over which games are my top ten, but I just wanted to post to give Markster HUGE KUDOS for having the fine title known as Speedy Eggbert mentioned in his "Other Games" repertoire. I now know three people, including myself, who actually played that game.
