Re: DKC Sport/ Party Game Ideas

First of all, we've been thinking of a kremling that would work well against Kiddy Kong. But isn't it more likely that they would put Baby DK in instead of Kiddy Kong? Likewise, I think it's likely they'd create a Baby K. Rool, AKA Prince K. Rool (though I still think that Kip is K. Rool's son). Mo...

Re: Donkey Kong merchandise/collectables

Actually Kiddy14 Kiddy was about the same height as Dixie in the artwork who was smaller then DK when he stood on two feet like the action figure is. They most likely took from that. But I love that Kiddy Kong toy. I used to have some DKC action figures around the time DK64 came out but being a kid ...

Re: Barrel Blast's Story

One day all was peaceful in Kongo Jungle. The Kongs were at the beach. Donkey Kong was chillin', Diddy Kong was showing off for Dixie and Tiny, Funky was surfing as Candy watched him. Lanky was swimming, Cranky was complaining, Wrinkly was doing nothing. Just then Klump marched towards the Beach wit...

Re: Kong Family Tree/Relationship Discussion

Uh... What do you mean? Diddy thinks Candy's hot, but that doesn't mean he's cheating on Dixie or anything. Oh, and... I think it's confirmed somewhere that DK and Candy are not married, just dating. Yeah, in the DKC instruction booklet, Candy's bio includes the following: 16 Candy Kong is [...

Re: DK64's Strengths and Failings

^ Oh no they didn't! It wasn't uncommon for one character to have a certain puzzle in one area, but several banana balloons or banana bunches for another character in that same area, even if it was such an out of place area to get to. Stuff like that is just silly; you shouldn't need to go back int...

Re: DK64's Strengths and Failings

I thought the multi-colored bananas were a great touch to the game. Even though it wasn't nessesary I collected them all. They also told you which character should be exploring which area.

Re: DK64's Strengths and Failings

I beat DK64 yesterday 101% and I loved it. I can even say that it is my new favorite Donkey Kong game. Even one of my favorite video games ever. I collected 101% of the bananas for the same reason I play all video games to accomplish something and get the fun of doing those tasks. Not to see some en...

Re: A hopeful Kiddy Kong and Chunky Kong return

I'm sure he will. He has to. It's hard to ignore the fourth main eventer Kong in the DKC series. DKC3 and DK64 sold millions and are some of the most memorable Super Nintendo/Nintendo 64 games. With Chunky it's hard to have Lanky and Tiny in a game without wondering where Chunky is at.

Re: Why? (...was Dixie replaced, by Tiny)

I agree with Tiptup Jr.. She looked much different from Dixie. You could argue that she does Dixie's pony whirl but even she does that differently and she needed a potion to learn it while Dixie knew it off the bat. If you ask Donkey Kong 64 is fine the way it is. Lanky, Tiny, and Chunky were great ...

Re: A hopeful Kiddy Kong and Chunky Kong return

The thing about Kiddy Kong is that he was the youngest of the Kongs and a toddler in DKC3. He just didn't seem babyish compared to characters like Baby Mario. He walked normal instead of crawling or stumbling like a baby. And he never really cried he just got angry and threw a fit. He was also capab...

Re: Favourite playable DK64 Kong?

For me a tie between Tiny and Chunky. Both are awesome. With Chunky it felt good to be controlling the raw power of a cowardly and hilarious ape. With Tiny she was the most nimble of the Kongs plus she had style.

A hopeful Kiddy Kong and Chunky Kong return

Kiddy Kong made his debut as a star in Donkey Kong Country 3 alongside Dixie Kong. Where they rescued the missing stars from the first DKC. Chunky Kong was one of the five playable characters in Donkey Kong 64 and was the one who won the boxing match for the Kongs in DK64. Kiddy outside of the ports...

I thought it was great for a show. Not the best representation of DKC but it's awesome. Too bad it wasn't popular. Oh well atleast it's popular in Japan.

Re: Why? (...was Dixie replaced, by Tiny)

So you're saying that instead of bringing back the one main DK64 character who didn't return in Barrel Blast and the one main character in the DKC trilogy that didn't return in Barrel Blast should be replaced by new Kongs just because they didn't appear in Barrel Blast? We saw new Kongs in Jungle Be...

Re: Kong Family Tree/Relationship Discussion

Judging by Diddy's behavior towards Candy Kong in the DK64 ending. And the fact that recent Donkey Kong games don't suggest that he is dating Dixie. I'd say Diddy is single and that Dixie Kong is one of his best friend or girlfried as in a girl thats his friend.

Re: Why? (...was Dixie replaced, by Tiny)

I bet you that if Kiddy wasn't mentioned to be Chunky's brother nobody would have noticed similar traits. I'm just surprised nobody's noticed the similarities between Lanky and Kiddy. Either way I think Kiddy would have looked alot different from Chunky when aged but that doesn't really matter becau...

Re: Competitivity of DK64?

The only real problem about DK64's multiplayer is the bananaports, and the fact that if someone was hurt, all they'd need to do is find one, warp away from the other player and stand on the pad until the other player came to get them. Then while the other player did this the hurt player could grab ...

Re: Inconsistencies in DKC3

I always noticed that Dixie and Kiddy move at the same speeds but nobody seemed to believe me. I guess it's because people think that if they're smaller they're automatically faster then the bigger characters.

Re: Donkey Kong Barrel Blast 2

No need to get so touchy. I wasn't following logic in Earthworm Jim. I'm just using it as an example of other video games that use one character as multiple enemies. Now on to the main point. Then by that logic there are many Donkey Kong's too. That second one in Donkey Kong Jr. Math, the extra one ...

Re: Donkey Kong Barrel Blast 2

Well, no doubt the Kritter in DKBB is a character, but he's just one specifice Kritter. He's just one of the hundreds of identical drones that just got lucky enough to join K. Rool in a race tournament against the Kongs. Kopter and Klump are the same way, there are a part of the species of Kopters ...

Re: Klubba's Affiliation

It's pretty clear that Klubba isn't the only one unhappy with K. Rool's treatment of them. The lead egineer on the Blast O' Matic tries to leave as well as the Kasplat that reported to him at the beginning of the story.

Re: Kong Family Tree/Relationship Discussion

Here are my ideas for the Kong family tree. Cranky Kong is Donkey Kong's father making him DK Jr. all grown up. In the manual for DKC it states that Diddy wants to be a video game hero like Donkey Kong. Well if this is Cranky Kong's grandson then DKC would be his first appearence as a hero which wou...

Re: Donkey Kong Barrel Blast 2

Funky Kong wasn't redesigned to fill the strong man role at all. He like Candy has the same figure he had in DK64. As for these uh drones as you put it in DKC. I've always thought as them as characters and not a species because they look like characters. Kremlings are a species characters like Krush...
