Re: The "Retold" Project

:P Oh, I thought everybody had forgotten about this! I've kept quiet about my work since my initial announcements. As far as Super Mario Maker goes, which came out after my initial soft announcements on here, I don't have any intention of doing a separate adaptation of it do the lack of plot. Elemen...

Re: Bananas on a Budget

 This sounds ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! :bunch-tf:

I seriously want to make something like this. Sounds like it's simple to do, too. Time to bug my Mom about it next time.

Re: The "Retold" Project

Thanks! Always glad to hear somebody actually likes these ideas! :P Here are my responses to some of these answers. -I am keeping a uniform anime-like format. The episodes will always be 24 minutes long, even if it means ending in cliffhangars. There will be a lot of those. :D -I don't plan on u...

Re: The "Retold" Project

Thanks! It was nothing too worry about too much in hindsight. I'd say everything's fine now. It was just family issues, but I have long since found coping methods. The plot outlines up until the end of the Galaxy Arc are in their final stages at the moment. Not a script with dialog or anything, just...

The "Retold" Project

So, I haven't been here in a while, but I decided I might as well announce this project I have in the works. Not sure if this is the right section, since it does technically involve DK, but the majority is other stuff so I figured it could go here. I was going to announce this the other day, but Iwa...

Re: The Trilogies are back!

Well, about time this happened! I was starting to lose hope for a while. Already have the DKC Trilogy on Wii VC and their GBA remakes. I'll definitely be getting the DKL Trilogy, though.

Re: Improvements in DKC Remakes

^Oh, nice! I never thought about that, but replaying the games (which I've been doing recently, both versions of each) I've noticed this!

Re: Improvements in DKC Remakes

So, looking back at this, I think I can add one thing. I think Rattly controls tighter on GBA than on SNES. Weird.

Re: Cave Dweller Concert cut short?

Maybe a few times, when I was bumming around not remembering where a bonus room was. But yeah, that's kind of an issue with the longer tracks in the series in general.

Re: DK hits the big screen

Whoa, now what's this gonna be now? Classic arcade characters attacking a city? Isn't this what Cloverfield should've been? :D

Re: Improvements in DKC Remakes

I would totally play the GBC version if it were released on Virtual Console or something. Anyway, besides those things, I really like how the music was handled in all three games overall. Maybe I should post my thoughts on each and every track and which I prefer. Don't know whether to make a new thr...

Improvements in DKC Remakes

This is kind of a follow-up to Gaz's thread about what COULD be improved in the remakes. The question is, in your opinions, what changes that WERE made were for the better? My examples would be: -New minigames are fun -Being able to save whenever you want is convenient -New cutscenes in 1 and 2 are ...

Re: What can be improved in the Donkey Kong-related remakes?

I should probably specify I meant the 103% ending with the Banana Queen. The chase is significantly shortened and happens in mere seconds. Someone playing it without being familiar with the SNES version would have no idea what's going on. O_o Overall all, though, I am very much a GBA lover, and quit...

Re: What can be improved in the Donkey Kong-related remakes?

^I haven't played Donkey Kong 64, but I hear that pretty much almost all the voice clips in the GBA games were in fact recycled from this game. Could anyone else perhaps tell me the origin of other recycled clips? As far as stuff I would've changed, I'm not very picky, but there are a few things... ...

Re: DKC Fan Dub

Thanks for the encouragement, I guess. I don't really see myself returning to this unless I somehow found a way to do things much faster and more effectively without being stressed out. I wouldn't say never, but it's unlikely, considering how high I was shooting. I may do something similar in the fu...

Re: DKC Fan Dub

Yeah, I know. This isn't the first one, either. Every project I do ends up not happening because I bite off more than I can chew. Maybe I might revive the idea once I get the proper means, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I'm only 18 and am pretty worthless with tech stuff. I will be more ...

Re: DKC Fan Dub

I'm sorry to say, but my project has been compromised. I've also lost the motivation to do anymore, mostly due to how long the technical things were taking. Sorry about the trouble and stuff, but I don't really have the means or time to do this. I will instead be focusing on other things, including ...

Re: DKC Fan Dub

Thanks for the warm welcome, Super Luigi! :P As usual, just PM me for details. I can say, do whatever with Cranky's voice as long as it's not too irritating. The problem with my friend's performance (no disrespect to him) was that the funny voice he used would've gotten old, and he has plenty of lin...

Re: DKC Fan Dub

Cranky, Candy, and Funky are the only characters with actual lines in the first game. (Although the GBA remake has more, I'll be covering that another day). Cranky obviously has the most lines, while I think Candy and Funky only have a handful. But, every bit counts. FUN FACT: Originally, I was also...

Hi there! I'm Valerius Dover, new member as of less than 15 minutes ago. Forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong section, feel free to move this topic if that is the case. I am working on doing walkthroughs. I plan to do quite a lot of games from various franchises. I've got a lot of time on my...

My name is Valerius Dover. This is my introduction.
