100% Completion Gaming Log

Talk about any games outside of DKC's scope.

100% Completion Gaming Log

Postby SLY JO » October 26th, 2008, 6:21 pm

My passion for gaming started at around the age of five when I was introduced to games such as Super Mario Bros. and Commander Keen. Ever since, I have endeavoured to complete almost every game I get my hands on to the maximum completion level. Whether it be every level in Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels, 105% in DKC3 or Legendary in Halo 2.

In this thread I will list the majority of the games I have completed to the maximum percentage, difficulty or every level.
I will mark the games completed on emulator. When completing a game on emulator, I do not use save states for an advantage (as that is cheating).
Games highlighted in red are games I am currently attempting to complete.
Some games I won't bother listing as they don't deserve to be mentioned, ever, or it isn't regarded as a challenge to complete it.

SNES:

- Claymates (extremely difficult)
- Donkey Kong Country 1
- Donkey Kong Country 2
- Donkey Kong Country 3 (TUFST)
- Kirby's funpack
- Lemmings 2: The Tribes
- Mario All Stars
- Super Mario Bros. - All levels
- Super Mario Bros. Lost levels - All levels (even world 9)
- Super Mario Bros. 2 - All levels
- Super Mario Bros. 3 - All levels
- Super Bomberman 1
- Super Bomberman 2 (emulator)
- Super Bomberman 3
- Super Mario RPG (emulator)
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (all 100% now :P )

GBC:
- Pokemon Blue (151 Pokemon)
- Pokemon Silver (251? Pokemon)
- Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (ports of Mario Bros. and Lost Levels with some score/egg/coin achievements and Race Boo challenges)

N64:
- Diddy Kong Racing (emulator)
- Super Mario 64 (emulator)
- Super Mario Kart 64 (emulator)
- Super Smash Bros. (emulator)

PSX:
- Crash Bandicoot
- Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
- Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
- Crash Team Racing
- Crash Bash (about 131% out of 200%?)
- Croc 2
- Spyro the Dragon
- Spyro 2
- Spyro 3

XBOX:
- Amped
- Driver 3
- Halo: CE (Legendary)
- Halo 2 (Legendary)
- Oddworld Munch's Oddysee (max kwarma, not sure how they spelled it in the game)

XBOX 360:
- Assassin's Creed (all achievements)
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (every quest, max level)
- Halo 3 (Legendary, Mythic, SLASO all achievements)
- Orange Box (don't currently own so may be difficult)

PC:
- The 7th Guest (every puzzle)
- The 11th Hour (every puzzle)
- Commander Keen 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 (every level, had to list such a great game)
- The Incredible Machine (every puzzle)
Very few PC games will be listed as 100% completion is very debatable with most games.

EDITS:
20/11/08: Began Halo 3 SLASO (Single-player Legendary All Skulls On). 2 levels down
19/11/08: Finally completed DKC 101% (Without help. Tanked Up Trouble took ages to find bonus)
28/10/08: Finished YI (SNES) and added GBC games (how did I forget them?)

Will continue to update as games are completed and as I remember other games I have conquered.

Nice list, you've completed lots of games!
Maybe I'll try to remember (or just fire up my SNES and N64 again) the games I've played 100% and add them here.

I'm definately proud of beating Goldeneye 007 on every difficulty and unlocking the whole cheat-menu without cheating, but I'm 100% I couldn't do it again (now ;) )
And of course YI, but I'm not sure anymore if I ever had 100% in all worlds at the same time.
Usually, my saves got erased at the moment I've reached the full 100% in more than 2-3 worlds.
But I've definately had 100% in every level over the years :)

Finally completed DKC 101%! Proud to say I found all bonuses by myself. Took me for ever to find the first bonus in Tanked Up Trouble.

Have now began completing Halo 3 SLASO (Single-player Legendary All Skulls On), it's not easy :x

Dragon coins? Do you mean the red coins in SMW2: Yoshi's Island?

Yeah, it was Uniracers, Stone. That game was awesome-azing.

And the dragon coins were the coins with the yoshi face on them, there were 3-5 on each level in SMW.

I am a pretty big completionist, but I just can't be bothered to write down a complete list of the games I've beaten. Maybe later, then.

...Ah, that's okay. It's still alive somewhere. This weekend I won't be bogged down by homework like I have been lately, so I'm going to work on Nuts & Bolts some more and see if I can't beat it. Then I'll play some Pac-Man on mah DS.

Finally.
I started playing Yoshi's Island again (this time emulated) and now I've finished it 100%
It wasn't that hard at all, but there are some sadistic levels:

Level 6-5 - who had the idea to hide those 4 red coins in posts? Why do they have to be in the ridicoulus fast scrolling part right before the goal?
Extra 1 - after a few unsuccesful tries, I managed avoiding the auto-scrolling. Makes it a lot easier.
Extra 3 - I just don't like this level...
Extra 5 - this level is hell! The skiing part is unforgiveable, bad jump timing and you lose lots of points/lives. Same for the helicopter part.

Bomberman Hero
Mischief Makers (in all levels either A or S for speed)

You completed Blast Corps??? Man I tried to complete that game. I got 2/3 of the platinum medals then gave up. Didn't have enough patience. Way too hard... Loved the game though which is why I attempted to get so many platinums in the first place. :)

The same on my side, I've got lots of platinums, but eventually I had to give up. The last 1/3 was just too hard...
And by the way: Someone who can complete Blast Corps should easily get all cheats on Goldeneye ;)

Yeah, Blast Corps is difficult with all the platinums, but I got it :D. And about Goldeneye, mmmhh, anyway it's to difficult or I was to bored or something. But I've got more than the half of all cheats!

I think Blast Corps is much more fun to play the GoldenEye, I think that is the reason why I haven't really tried to unlock all cheats.

I think they are both fun to play, but its true that Blast Corps is more fun to complete. Completing Goldeneye and unlocking all cheats felt less like having fun with the game, but rather torturing myself. 8-)
