I completed DKC2 102% last month, and I was just wondering... which is the longest level in DKC2?

My choice of which is longest is Chain Link Chamber.

I would love to see other users opinions!

Technically speaking, the tallest level in the entire trilogy is Parrot Chute Panic. The lengthiest level in DKC2 is probably Rickety Race (I'll have to verify that sometime).

However, for the time it takes to complete a level, I think Castle Crush takes the longest to finish. This is probably because it's an auto-scrolling level.

Like Simion said it depends subjectively.

The tallest (longest) physical level is Parrot Chute Panic.
The lengthiest (longest) physical level seems to be Rickety Race.
The longest level to take time to complete might be Castle Crush, though it's an auto-scroll level.
The longest level to take time to complete might be Animal Antics, though it has several "mini" levels/parts.
The longest levels to take time to complete that are in a complete room might be Klobber Karnage, Windy Well, Web Woods or Chain-link Chamber (or others).
The longest water level to take time to complete might be Glimmer's Galleon.

It'd need a really big investigation, maybe with speed-runs we'd be able to know? =P

Okay, I'm back! I have created three rules for this topic.

1. You must add the length of the path you must take. Bonus levels and extra paths do not count. If the level has multiple rooms, add them altogether.
2. Bosses do not count.
3. Auto-scroll levels do not count.

Remember to have plenty of fun if you try this. Otherwise you'll burn down under the pressure. Have Fun!

Width and Height wise, Hornet Hole is the biggest level in the game.

In my boredom and spare time, I put down every single level from DKC 1 - 2, and copied the width and height data (from the atlas here), and then for each one worked out the total area.

I got:
Donkey Kong Country:
Longest (width) = Mine Cart Carnage (18,688)
Shortest (width) = Croctopus Chase, Poison Pond, Slipslide Ride, Coral Capers and Clam City (2,048)
Tallest (height) = Croctopus Chase (4,384)
Shortest (height) = There are 31 stages that have a height of 512
Largest (area) = Mine Cart Carnage (9,568,256)
Smallest (area) = Rambi's Token Bonus (1,179,648)
Fattest (width:height ratio) = Mine Cart Carnage (36.5 times wider than tall)
Skinniest (height:width ratio) = Croctopus Chase (2.14 times taller than wide)
Most square (the level who's width:height ratio or height:width ratio is the closest to 1:1) = Enguarde Token Bonus (length is 97.8% of the width) ... or Coral Capers, for an actual level, of which the width is 92.2% of the length.

Donkey Kong Country 2:
Longest (width) = Rickety Race (24,320)
Shortest (width) = Black Ice Battle, Chain Link Chamber, Toxic Tower, Castle Crush, and Parrot Chute Panic (512)
Tallest (height) = Parrot Chute Panic (13,056)
Shortest (height) = There are 20 stages that have a height of 512
Largest (area) = Rickety Race (12,451,840)
Smallest (area) = Animal Antics (Rambi) (1,392,640) -- or Mainbrace Mayhem (2,064,384) if you want a full level
Fattest (width:height ratio) = Rickety Race (47.5 times wider than tall)
Skinniest (height:width ratio) = Parrot Chute Panic (25.5 times taller than wide)
Most square level (the level who's width:height ratio or height:width ratio is the closest to 1:1) = Rambi Rumble (length is 98.7% of the width)

So far, we only have the map up to Riverside Race on DKC3, so there'd be no point in including that. I do however have a feeling that the following levels could be the tallest:
Any tree level, Rocket Rush, Kong-Fused Cliffs, Krevice Kreepers, Criss Kross Cliffs... well any cliff/mountain area

The longest: Any toboggan or racing stage (Riverside Race, Tearaway Toboggan, Dingy Drain-pipe, Stampede Sprint)... but there's probably a normal stage that's quite long... that also brings me to another question... but since it's relating to DKL, I'll post it in that place.

I'm pretty sure it is! It's really tall!
