I probably posted this a bit late depending on your time zone, but what the hell. Tetris was first around in June 6, 1984, so now it is 25 years old! Who knew time would fly so fast? And who knew that a game with only seven different blocks, no plot, and no characters would be so addicting? Well, it is! Probably because it's so simplistic yet challenging. And it doesn't end until you lose! And even then, you'll be playing for a long time.

Let's celebrate by playing Tetris all day! I have the Game Boy version and the DS version. What versions do you all have?

I've been playing Tetris heaps lately. I've got Tetris DX (Game Boy Colour). I think my highest score is a bit over 383,000.

I never cared much for Tetris, but it's cool knowing it shares a birthday with my friend.

That's from a the german satirical magazine Titanic. It says:
"25 years Tetris. Who will stop the killergame?"

They make fun of the current "killergames" discussion that started again after the tragic shool-shooting in a town called Winnenden.

Why is 25 such a number to celebrate about?
