I'm mostly an oldschool gamer, but I do have a Gamecube. A Wii would be fun for VC games, and Brawl, of course... but I'm pretty happy with my SNES and N64. ;)

Mostly from garage sales. I have 2 green ones, 2 purpleish transparety ones, and 1 yellow and blue one with Pokemon on it. One used to be my brothers, I had one, then I got the Pokemon because it was awesome, and the other two I got for real cheap at garage sales.

You have one of those red DS Lites? I'm so jealous. Mine's white, and when I bought it the only other colors that were available were pink and black. :(

SNES
N64
Gamecube
Wii

Game Boy Pocket
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance SP (sister owns both an original and SP, lol)
Nintendo DS

Xbox 360

I purchased the Xbox last, betraying my Nintendo fanboyism, if you will, mainly because of the new Banjo title coming out later this year. But the purchase was well worth it; I've found a few great titles while I've owned it, and I'll be getting Resident Evil 5 when it comes out in 2009 (expected release, anyway).

My wallet's practically never got any money in it, really... I spent all of my savings last year on the 360, and on a Wii and a new SNES (well, a working one, at least) the year prior, and a DS the year before that. I think I really ought to get a job... :P

I really want to get a 360 for Banjo, but my staggering $5 a week income is not getting me there quickly. I'm at $90 right now, and if I don't get a job soon it'll take me over a year to get it.

I'm a big fan of Nintendo, I have these systems:
Wii
DS
Game Boy Advance (I'm thinking about selling it)
Gamecube
N64

I used to own a SNES, but I don't know where it went.

Selling a GBA? I don't think you'll be able to get more than $5 bucks for it, at the most.

Of those listed, I have a Nintendo 64, Gamecube, DS, 360, and Wii.

I still play my N64 more than any of them, though.

Yeah, and I bet most people wouldn't be willing to part with a whole week's income to buy something so out-dated. That said, despite me having two working Super Nintendos already, I'd lay down $50 for an as-new SNES, no questions asked. You can never have too many of such a good thing. ;)

...someone should let gamer_boy997 and RawkHawk know that. No SNES in your collection, eh Rawky? Were you a Sega fan in the 16-bit era, perchance?

You know, it's funny you should mention that. "You can never have too many of such a good thing". I think of all people, I know this. I've had 5 Game Boy colors(as previously mentioned), I'm on my 3rd SNES, 4 PS1s, 2 GBA's, 2nd Dreamcast, and I used to have 2 Genesis and 1 Saturn.

Also, kinda random but I still think is on topic, but I really wish I hadn't gotten a Wii. My sister was going to get us one as a late Christmas present back in February, and my brother and I both had to pay $50 on it and she'd pay the rest. Well, she could find one in stores, so one day she showed up at our house with a Wii with a few extremely crappy games for $480!!! Me and my brother each ended up paying 2.5 times what we intended, and the only reason I ever wanted a Wii in the first place was because it was so cheap! Now I can't find any games I want, and all the games I do want are on the 360, which I would have gotten if I had known we would pay nearly FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!!

Ouch Jomingo :( , 480$? You each needed to spend 160$ for it. The Wii is about 250$, and games are about 50$, so she starts out with 4-5 games? Which ones were they? (If you say any Mario games, I'm going to be mad, because you say the games were bad and I'm partly Mario fan!)

Also, about how much are SNES' these days? Just curious. My dad said he can't remember what he did with it. He said he either gave it away, or it's in the garage somewhere. Oh well, at least I have DKC1 on Wii and DKC2 and 3 on my DS. Here's something I'm wondering, is DKC2-3 better on SNES? If so, I might as well sell my DKC2 and DKC3 and buy them off the Wii's VC. On my SNES, I had DKC1 and 3, and I borrowed DKC2 from my friend. I was tring to use a cheat code system, and the files ended up being erased from a bug when I was on Toxic Tower! I had to go through almost the whole game again, and I beat it. I told my friend what happened with the files being erased. I don't know if he already collected all the DK coins and beat the Lost World, but if he did, he probably did it all over again.

Nope, I just ended up skipping that generation completely. I was still playing Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt a year before the release of the N64!

...and then the NES fell into a sink. What a shame. :(

1) The reason it was $480 was not because she bought games with it, it was because they were almost impossible to find in stores, so she got one used for $480. It came with "Ice Age 2", "The Incredibles", "Spiderman 3", some Dragon ball game, and a couple others, and by the way, none of the games came in cases, they were just a bunch of disks in a plastic baggy! And half of them never worked!
2) At the local Play N Trade store near me they have a thing called an FC Twin gaming console. It has two cartridge slots, one for NES and one for SNES, and it's $35.
3) Yes, all DKC's are better on the SNES, except for any new levels in the GBA versions. DKC3 GBA has a whole new world and boss, but as far as graphics and sound quality go the SNES ones are the best.

Did you even get Wii sports? They should always come with the wii. Thanks for letting me know your opinion on the DKC's, GBA versions don't have two-player contest anyway, so SNES might be a little better.

Nope, no Wii sports either!

Yeah, the GBA one probably has a little more content, but the SNES one is better for two players and a much more high quality, more detailed game.

I'll try to put these in the order I got them.

Sega Master System
Sega Mega Drive
Game Boy Pocket Gold
Sega Saturn
Super Nintendo
Nintendo 64
Game Boy Color
Sega Dreamcast
Gamecube
Sony Playstation
Sony Playstation Portable
Sony Playstation 2
Nintendo Wii
Nintendo DS

However, I no longer own the Master System or Mega Drive thanks to them being damaged, and the PSP was essentially traded for the PS2. Most of these consoles are currently sitting by the TV.

It was a limited-edition release for... something or other. My incentive to getting it was a TV advertisement. The commercial featured a swimming champ playing Donkey Kong Land on it, with a kid trying in vain to distract him so he could have a go. It's the first Game Boy I aquired, and Donkey Kong Land was my first game for it. Naturally.

I just dug it out of the wardrobe now and oohhhh bugger it. Something's caused half the GB's gold surface to corrode slightly. This blows.

Time to clean it up as best I can...

Here are all of the systems I own, preceded by the year each one was purchased:

*1994: Super NES(original model x2; The one my mom bought new is still in working condition, but the second one was bought used and is missing the cords. I'm unsure if it works.)
1995: Sega Genesis(second model)
*1996: Nintendo 64
1997: Game Boy Pocket(original Platinum)
2000: Game Boy Color(Teal)
2000?: Sega Dreamcast(the lens is smudged, so it doesn't read discs.)
2001: Game Boy Advance(White)
*2001: GameCube(Black)
*2003?: NES(original model; bought used of course)
2004: Nintendo DS(original Platinum)
*2007: Wii

Those marked with an asterisk are the ones currently hooked to my TV.

My brother and I have a total of 135 games between these 11 systems. Of these, 134 are unique; one is a second copy of Pokémon Blue.

360 aren't just great for gaming, they do have other features (amazingly from MS).

I got:
SNES
GBC
PS1
XBOX
XBOX 360

Wish I had a N64. They charge $80 for N64 games at gametraders in AUS, what a joke.

I have some very good news! The SNES was packed away in a bag in the garage, which was found a few hours ago! Inside was a SNES, two controllers, a game genie, and 8 games, with two of them being DKC and DKC3.

At first, I got a little nervous, because the system didn't work. I unplugged and plugged the AC adapter back in, and it started working again with a sigh of relief.

Unless I'm mistaking, every game so far had to be inserted twice into the system and reset a couple times to work. Any reasons on why this is?

Well, atleast they work, right?

Also, can you do cool stuff with a GG like you can with a PAR?

If your games don't work first time, there may have been some dust preventing proper connection.
Inserting them a couple of times cleans the connectors, I think :)
Had the same problem with DK64 a few weeks ago ...

So far I have played 6 of the games, a couple of them I play a lot, and they don't really do that anymore.

So anyways, can you do cool stuff with the GG as you can with the PAR, or does the GG just help you beat the game?

I think the GG was similar to the PAR, but if I remember correctly, the codes were different.
