What Video Game Systems Do You Own?

Talk about any games outside of DKC's scope.

Oh, on Thanksgiving I got an Xbox 360 Elite. I wasn't going to add it here, but… I had to. :P

Why isn't there a 'none' or an 'other' option?
I don't own a single video game system.

Sorry for the off-topicness, but ugh... I can't get the game genie to work with my DKC cartridge :( . It worked fine with another game I tried out twice, (except the first time the code didn't work), but even with no codes inserted, the DKC cartridge starts out with a messy looking rareware logo, and BOOM, the game freezes with a crash. It works fine without the game genie though. Any suggestions?

I tried it yesterday, it still doesn't work :( .

I really need some help, it works fine with other games, but even if I don't insert codes, the game doesn't work, help!

I've just bought a Wii yesterday, finally.

And thanks to my patience, I've ended up getting the recently released black one. It looks very nice!

Super Smash Brothers Brawl is as good as I expected. It is more than a game, it is like a Nintendo museum. ;)

Hmm... Let's see.

1 GBA

2 GBA SP's

1 GCN

1 N64

1 Wii

1 Broken DS Lite (Top screen is always white :( )

And, I should include this since I'm getting one for Christmas:

1 DSi.

That's about it.

EDIT: Oh, and a PS2.

Well, while this topic is bumped I might as well update my list of consoles.

NES2(the slim edition)->SNES(I think I have two...)->N64->Gamecube->Wii

Gameboy-> Game Boy Pocket-> Game Boy Color (Last count I had four I believe)->Game Boy Advance-> My brother has a DSi...

Sega Genesis-> Sega Dreamcast

Playstation(I have two functioning, and one that broke so I dissected it :?)-> Playstation 2 (the second slim model I believe)-> Playstation 3 (120 GB slim)

I think that's everything. I once owned the original fat NES(the one everyone had), this might be my third SNES I'm using, and I once bought an FC Twin NES/SNES console but it didn't work. I don't have as many Gameboys as I used to, mostly because I think my nieces and nephew got a hold of them. I used to have a different model of the Genesis (the one I have now isn't the usual one I think), and I had a Saturn for a while. This is my second Dreamcast, and possibly my third or fourth PS1. I think that's everything...

I guess I'll contribute since I like to collect consoles and stuff. My collection isn't too big yet though, and won't be till I have more money.

-Wii
-Gamecube
-N64 (this was a very lucky buy. I got the console, two controllers, AC adapter, and several high quality games including OoT and Mario 64 all for $13USD)
-3 SNES (I know, overkill, but hear me out. One is my original from a long time ago that died. The second one is an old yellowed one that a bought two years ago and works great. The third one is something I bought at goodwill merely because it was about $6 and I was going to clean it and sell it. When I tried playing a few games, I quickly found out that there were several graphical glitches only when I played games on that one. So I kept it for the oddity value).

-Original NDS. The fat gray ones. I didn't care for the other ones, and now that the 3DS is coming out, I don't care as much about the DSi.
-GBA original
-GBA SP (there's about 4 in our house somewhere I think. good for Zelda four swords and FFCC)
-GBC
-GB (old gray one)

-Sega Genesis (vers. 2 I think)
-PS2 slim (second favorite console, just below the SNES)
-PS2 fat (I think we may have gotten rid of this)
-XBOX (I've never played this)

Oh, and I guess one more thing. I managed to miss out on a very rare console at a garage sale. It was the JVC X'EYE, something that combined the Genesis and Sega CD. They're worth about $80 sometimes.

I have a few myself. In no particular order:

1) SNES, obviously (hasn't been working, luckily I have virtual console and GBA ports).
2) 2 PS2s, one fat and one slim, they play PS1 games too, which I have.
3) 2 GBA SPs, not the original fat ones.
4) 3 DS (One broke, the other's top screen doesn't function at all but I use the bottom for playing brighter GBA games, one is good).
5) Wii.
6) PSP 3000.

If a system has no parenthesis then it's in good/somewhat good condition.

Dude... Katzii, DO NOT SELL IT! Seriously, if you wait a few years, you could get something pretty hefty for it... however, I am opposed to selling any video game anythings; I'm a vintage video game collector (or I'm trying to be, anyways). But you seriously should keep it, especially if it works!

Hmm. Are you gonna get it at GameStop? In that case you could've just traded it in at the time. I'm waiting for the 2nd-generation 3DS to come out (like a 3DS XL or something).

...I'm in England. We don't have Gamestop here.

And no, I sold the DSi to my brother and the DS to a friend, which got me more money than I could have gotten for either in trade (asides from the fact that the DSi is an import so would be a no-go at the shop). I also ordered my 3DS online which means, with any luck, I might get it tomorrow! If not, definitely Friday.

Well see, that's what I meant, I wasn't sure if GameStop existed overseas. Well I hope you enjoy it- like I said, I'm waiting for the technology to improve and the screen to get bigger before I invest in one of these. I'm still looking forward to seeing the 3D effect, but my brother says he's probably gonna get one so at least I'll have one around the house.

And no worries, Tiptup - some places in Europe do; we personally don't over here. I'm definitely going to enjoy it (and maybe make an upgrade in the future should there be a new and improved one), but am happy with what they're offering up!

Eh, if she wanted one, that's fine- it's really a double-edged sword. I personally will wait but I think it's cool people are buying them. Sadly no stores in my area have a place where you can try them out... I think I might have to drive for awhile to find one!

Just barely. Besides, I already own a Wii. And considering the amount of gameplay I'm going to get from this 3DS, as well as being able to share in gaming for the first time in forever with family, I would hardly consider it a rip-off.

Also, congrats on the awesome acquisition, Phyre!

Yeah, you definitely can't knock someone for wanting the newest system. Besides, it's really not that expensive, relative to previous launches.

I'm not buying one yet, not because the price is too expensive but more because any price would be too much for me right now. There are a lot of reasons to wait: the shop features aren't there, there aren't a lot of launch games, and it doesn't come in Virtual Boy red and black. But then again, there are a lot of reasons to get one now too. I will pick one up eventually, but it definitely won't be until I can get it in the Virtual Boy red and black.

Now if only I could get my hands on one just to try it out. I've got the same problem as Tiptup, nobody around here has displays. Also, nobody I know has bought one. I want to see this thing in person so that I know how awesome it is first hand.

Augh, I know the feeling, Jomingo. They're doing a UK tour for the 3DS, but the closest one to me is a two-hour drive away and isn't going to happen until the weekend (so would have been AFTER the release!). I knew I wanted one and, to be honest, I didn't want to face the same issues that I could have potentially done with my Wii, so I took the plunge and pre-ordered it. I would have possibly gone for the purple if that had come about, but the blue is actually really gorgeous; more of an aqua green than a pure blue, but absolutely lovely.

I think you also need to have the right game to showcase it. I definitely didn't regret choosing Pilotwings, but then I know that it's not everyone's cup of tea and maybe players of the previous instalments may not like the "Mii" styling it got. I never played the previous two and really, I knew this game would probably be the best to show people exactly how the 3D works.

Huzzah, intuition!

I bought a Game Gear today. It's the blue model. It came with 9 games (and 2 SNES controllers) for $28. It's pretty sweet, except one question: When I play it, if I look straight on I can't see anything on screen. I have to tilt the screen to actually see the picture. Is that supposed to happen?

A common issue with older LCD displays, and apparently very common with Game Gears. -Repair Guide

Certain things just deteriorate with age and some consoles are notorious for developing faults, i.e NES, XBox 360, etc.
