Yeah, I knew the DKU named him Khufu K. Rool, but come on, Pharool sounds much cooler, in my opinion :)

What's up with the chemistry in this game? Did anyone else realize that none of the babies have chemistry with there future selves? And Baby DK has chemistry with all the babies, Yoshi, and then Dixie, Tiny, and Funky. Why not DK and Diddy? And why doesn't Petey have chemistry with DK anymore?

Also, Daisy shares chemistry with Peach and Luigi. Peach makes sense, but why Luigi? And why only Luigi and not Mario? And Luigi has good chemistry with her too.
Now that I think about it, on Daisy's stage in MKWii, there's a statue of the two holding hands, and of Baby Luigi holding Baby Daisy up in the air.

And in Nes Golf Daisy is Luigi's caddy, while Peach is Mario's.

Hmmmm.... You don't think there's something going on between Luigi and Daisy, do you?

I just really like the Pharoah Khufu, he was a great ruler. But Pharool is also awesome. I might call him both now. And I don't know about you Jomingo, but most fans have been calling Luigi and Daisy a shy couple for a long time.Also,Daisy got plastic surgery. SML she looked like Peach in a different dress, NES Golf same look but her colors were wrong, MT she looked Asian, and Azeala from one of the Golf titles lended her fac for Daisy's current look. And we thought Funky changed his look alot through the DKCs. :?

Nooo, that was never even implied at all, not even back in Mario Tennis when they brought her back.

I'd like Tuten-K. Rool better, it's kinda like K. Roolenstein but egyptian. Though, I don't think his new look is supposed to be egyptian, it's probably supposed to be Mayan or Inca.

I don't see why Mario's crew would have to share chemistry with their baby selves. I mean, they didn't in the first one, and Diddy's cool enough to make me not care who he's friends with.

And roflmao u didnt kno about luigi and daisy ftw

I skipped a generation (or two) of Mario titles, leave me alone! :cry:

Seriously, the Mario series is pretty over rated, so don't blame me because I haven't bought every sport title in the series.

Its ok Jomingo, neither have I with Mario Party 3-7. I bought 8 and the DK stage was somewhat kool.

PERVERTED EDIT: I just discovered in Mario Super Sluggers when Tiny strikes someone out she turns around and does that " Hey, look at my butt! " pose.

I enjoy looking at Tiny's butt, thank you very much.

...Pervertedness aside, Tiny has personality in this game, and I like it. She always does a little dance when you complete a Scout Mission with her, and when she charges a pitch she goes into a little karate pose.

I just struck someone out in Super Sluggers and saw Tiny's pose. It was quite awesome.

Is there some way I could save it as my desktop's wallpaper? Like, take a snapshot of it on the Wii and then e-mail it to yourself? 'Cuz that would quite possibly be the coolest thing I have ever done. (In case you haven't figured it out, my life is boring. :( )

Here's an idea I had: There should've been boss fights in the story mode. There could be a boss for each area of the game, and these bosses don't necessarily have to be working for Bowser Jr., they could have just claimed the area as theres and decide to challenge you to a fight, or there are other reasons. Point is, each area would have a boss:
Mario's=Monty Mole?
Peach's=Petey Pirahna
Yoshi's=Wiggler
Wario's=King Boo
DK's= King K. Rool
I'm not sure how you'd fight them, but it could be either playing a game against them, or doing some kind of unique challenge. Beating them would result in your unlocking them and there minions(if they had any). Also, there would still be the Bowser Jr. matches, and these bosses would be unrelated to that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after some rather devious trading, I have finally acquired a King K. Rool card! By double-playing it, I was also able to get every single Donkey Kong-related card on the site, which I'll put in a spoiler tab below. For anyone interested in getting one, swap with me and then read this.

BEFORE YOU READ: Some of the following screens were taken on a 1680 by 1050 monitor, and were converted to a 1024 by 768 file size on Photobucket. Because of this, these cards are not as easy to view as they were originally intended. This issue will be rectified when I compile my complete card archive.

Those are all from my own personal collection, so enjoy! When (if) the site is terminated, I'll compile a complete archive of every card on the site for the internet's viewing pleasure... But thankfully, that day has not yet arrived. ;)

I just discovered something!

In Mario Superstar Baseball, DK has chemistry with Petey Piranha. In Mario Super Sluggers, he doesn't. But when I was playing Super Sluggers a few days ago I found out that Tiny Kong has anti-chemistry with Birdo, who happens to have good chemistry with Petey Piranha. If he shared chemistry with Donkey Kong, who already has good chemistry with Tiny, it would create the first ever CHEMISTRY PARADOX! :o

...Yay.

Talk about bumping, but I am in dire need of help.

Remember that online Super Sluggers card game I mentioned a while back? Well, the game itself is over, but if you go to the site (here) it says you can download all of the cards. But when I click on the download button and I save the files, they aren't there. Like . . . they don't actually download. I know we have some techy guys on the forum - could someone help me out here? I'd really like to be able to get these cards again. Thanks.

Oh my gosh. I have bumped this topic to death so much, but this time it's worth it... you can now download all of the Super Sluggers cards from the website. I think it would be kewl if we all did this for fetishistic archiving purposes before the site is shut down for good.
Spoiler!
But apparently you have to manually extract each individual card. Gets tiring fast.

Done. Anything like this is valuable material. I remember when the DKC3 GBA site went down, and it was impossible to download anything (there may be something in the web archive but it's unlikely).
Tiptup Jr. wrote:Manually extract each individual card.
You can do that in 4 seconds with WinRAR. ;)

Yeah, I've never played this game, but I often download the heck out of any limited-time resources like this that come to my attention. That goes even more times for DK material.

Yeah WinRAR rules. You should look into it. Anyway, I had tons of old Rare renders and promotional stuff saved on my old computer that is all lost now. It would be nice to have that back; I'm sure it's out there somewhere but regardless it will be intensely difficult to track down all of it again. I think I'll archive these as well.

EDIT: Yeah, it took me under thirty seconds to download and then one second to click it, 3 seconds tops to highlight every thing, and then one second to click extract. It took me a few to tell it where to extract to, but even then it took me well under a minute total.

Ha, my home computer (which does have WinRAR) is infected and can't get on the Internet, so I had to use my six-and-a-half year old laptop to get the job done. Took quite awhile to download and then I right-clicked every individual folder and extracted it myself... the lengths I go for Donkey Kong. :P
I remember when the DKC3 GBA site went down, and it was impossible to download anything...

I actually saved all that stuff to a disk years ago! If I ever find it I'll be sure to upload it somewhere and let you know.

To stay a bit on-topic - I'd really like to play this game for the sole reason of K. Rool in his snazzy new outfit and Diddy and Dixie FINALLY together in a game again... but woe is me, it DIDN'T GET RELEASED over here in holland, because us Dutch people apparently don't like baseball. Tch! I would've gotten Super Mario Strikers Charged because of Diddy but... Oh whatever. Is there any stuff of Super Sluggers on YouTube?

Yes, there's loads of it. This video has most of the Donkey Kong characters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnDuRZBIlAg

I'm sorry this did not get released in your country! Super Sluggers is, in my opinion, THE BEST Mario sports game. Adventure mode is awesome and actually a legitimate part of the game... it doesn't really feel tacked on or anything. Plus there's a crapload of characters. Unfortunately my mother PAWNED my copy of this game so I haven't played it in years. :cry:

Plus this game is VERY respectful of the DKC legacy. Funky uses his surfboard to bat!

Yeah, I was really impressed with the game's characterization and story mode. The gameplay got really frustrating in some places, but I enjoyed it a lot overall. Certainly not the best Mario Sports games in terms of gameplay or control, but it's one of my favorites because of the characters and actually good story mode.

Nintendo only cares enough to set the site up for a predefined marketing period, and then it goes POOF off the internet (well, except WayBackMachine, but they tend not to archive any zip downloads).

Seriously, if you think Nintendo actually listens to their fans, you have another think coming. It takes practically the entire gaming community complaining about something to get them to even consider changing plans. :x
