I am going to have a little contest to see which moment in DK history, is the worst.


Here, nominate your least favorite moments in DK history. This can be in the games, or outside the games in the real world.

There are a total of 12 spots for nominations, for a moment to get the spot, it needs to be nominated twice. If I don't see a nomination within 2 days of when it was nominated twice, please PM me, or post here.

When Rare stopped making DK games.

I'm going to move this to forum games.

Donkey Kong 64 was the worst moment in the franchise. One of the few games I haven't played more then once.

I second Cyclone's nomination. DK64 was the biggest disappointment of my life to date. You could probably fill the whole list of 'worst moments' with DK64's failings.

*Shudder*

Also, I'd like to nominate the cancelling of Donkey Kong Racing. Kiddy and the other neglected DK characters were meant to make a return to the series, dammit.

I'd say it's a no brainer. It's when Rare left Nintendo. That pretty much killed the DK series, and cancelled three separate DK games. I miss Rare.

It canceled 3 seperate games? I thought it was just DKR..oh wait and Diddy Kong Pilot which became Banjo-Pilot right? But what was the third one?

And if I can I'd like to second Rare's leaving Nintendo.

If I'm unable to do that, then the Wii-era is the worst moment for DK;

given that he and Diddy and now even K. Rool have just been pushed into Mario Sports games and had a few very unsuccessful games (Apart from JB) hold his name (I dunno if they were great or not, I still have yet to try JC or KoS..and as much as I did like Barrel Blast, the majority of the gaming community, fickle as they may be, sees it as a joke, which is unfortunate.
