Now that DKDC is finished, I find myself wanting to edit music. I KNOW Mattrizzle has done it before by putting the dkc2 fanfare in for the dkc1 fanfare. I'm not a legend like Matt is, however. Is that the only way of doing it? That seems too manual.... Mattrizzle, did you just copy the dkc2 spc and take out the exclusives? Also, all of the spcs I got from http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?pro ... lected=711 are formatted weird.... they are all 65 kb and include headers. What am I missing?

I'm sorry. That's just my way of trying to be arrogant. Doesn't suit me. My DKC1 hack. Donkey Kong Distortion Country

DKC uses different sound driver from DKC2/3 so the game will crash when you port DKC2/3 music to DKC.
You need rewrite the sequence according to the standard of the DKC sound driver.
The same is true when porting DKC songs to DKC2/3.

If you need driver specification, send pm and I'll tell you how-to.

Note:
If you port the sequences from SPC files, copy from following address.
Ripped from DKC: ARAM $12A0 (SPC: $13A0)
Ripped from DKC2/3: ARAM $1300 (SPC: $1400)
In the SPC file, the sequence doesn't have its size data, so I don't recommend.
