You cannot expect someone to just make sprites for you just because you want them. I'm afraid it's not that simple to make custom sprites especially rendered ones like DKC uses. :roll:

I haven't finished yet, but I wanted to tell you guys what I'm working on. It may take a bit longer, but I'm working on making an anamated sprite of Dixie riding Winky. So far, it looks pretty good. I've used the sprites of Dixie riding Ellie, because she movies while it's in idle, unlike her riding animal buddies in DKC2.

Looks like a normal blast barrel, someone will get confused if it plays imaginary a level with those types of barrels xD

Well that was just a quick version, I plan to put a icon on the barrel to show if it is a backfire barrel, and I plan to make both a DKC1 sized one and a DKC2/DKC3 sized one.

Markster, do you mind if I use your DK on the horizontal rope sprites and edit them further? I have an idea and it would move much faster if I could use them. I think I know a way to make it look better; I can have his feet move as he climbs on the rope using the DK sprites from DKC2 (where he's tied up).

Flapper holding a light, he is in levels where its dark and you must move down. Qwuaks can put down the light on command and pick up things like DK coins or even enemies! You can command him to pick up the light again. As you can see, I am back into the recoloring buisness :D

Bindi is one pissed off cousin of Rambi. She is a raging rhino who is super fast, has a long jump ability and can super ram trees so bananas fall.

If anybody wanted the recoloured sprite sheet of Diddy dancing (gba), here it is. I kept most of the original text and stuff, so the credit is all there. I did not add the darkest colour (it looks black but it's more of a really dark brown).

Here is a preview of what I have for Mr. X so far. I know I didn't do all that much, but I figured I should show you guys my progress. I still need to make the jacket. That is going to take a while. I can't just cut and paste from other sprites. I'm also going to change the sword around his waist. I'm going to make it Kleever, but I have to make the jacket first.

I also know that in the picture, Mr. X does not have a scarf under his hat, but I'm taking a bit of creative license! ;) I like the scarf under the hat look.

I have seen it. FalsePower asked me to make one that could be used as a boss, rather than just an enemy. Katastrophe Kong did a great job with his!

Here ya guys go. I guess he should be able to charge really fast after jumping 3 times and then when he crashes into the side of the screen, he gets dizzy giving you a short chance to attack. He acts just like that second gnawty boss, except he is invincible till he is dizzy and charges. No idea for a name, even though it should be simple XD im dryed up right now I guess.

Lol. it is hamm from Toy Story with para-troopa wings from Mario RPG and the hogwash eyes from promo art on the Game Boy box art.

Thanks to Mattrizzle for the sprites of Dixie and Kiddy getting struck, I was able to edit the sprites to make versions of Diddy and DK getting struck.

Stawks, same thing as Squawks and Quawks with the abilites of both. Holding B near a barrel will pick it up and nuts will shoot not near barrels. Picking up barrels can kill enemys only killable by a tnt barrel or a koin by a steel keg.

Yes, I was wondering why he's been doing that. PNG actually tends to be smaller in the case of pixel graphics.

Im really sorry guys if that is something bad. I am only 12 and I am not good at all with electronics. How would I change that? I use some sort of editing site named Picnik, can someone check it out to see how I can change it please? If anyone can, I will use different formats in the future.

I like to use MS Paint, just save it into .png format if you use MS Paint, but you can go with Paint.NET if you prefer, whatever you like better.

Here is the new Stawks, say what my recolor needs to make it better guys. The filename should be Stawks, by the way. EDIT: You can tell mw it is the worst thing on the interent if you have to let me know. I just want some feedback, don't hold back. I don't like it either.

Here is the sprite sheet for DK throwing upward. There are only a few custom sprites (maybe 1 or 2), but I put them in with the regular ones so it's easy to tell where they go.

Banana Bird, I have some constructive criticism for you. I know you're just starting out with editing and stuff. I think you're doing very well for just jumping in without much experience. If you want to learn more, there are many tutorials out there. I think you should try to find tutorials for paint.net and give it another try.

This stuff takes time to learn, though. Like when I started with photoshop, I wanted to do all this cool stuff... but I couldn't because I didn't know how to use it. I totally recommend learning as much on your own as you can, then if you get the chance to have a photoshop class (or something similar) in high school, you'll be ahead of the game.

His name is Ka-Bang. He shoots exploding cannonballs out at you at really fast speed and hits you with his cannon when your close.

Hey guys, what's good? :)

I decided to change the direction of my Mr. X sprite to create one from scratch. It's not finished, but I'm working on it. What do you think? I also included some edits and a Mr. X sprite I found from a French Donkey Kong fan site called "DK' One" (you can tell all he did was switch the head off mine :roll: ).

I'm sure he finds it absolutely hilarious. :lol:

Here's an updated version with a hat and tattered leggings. Also working on his sword. His belt is pretty hard to do without straying from a working palette.
