I see we have a lot of help here with the sprites and thank you all for this, you guys have talent.
Guys, post their custom teaming up sprites and we will study to put them in the game giving credit to the authors.

leo_core, you said you use photoshop, right? In that case, if you'd like to use the sprites I've edited, you should download them here.

I've recently completed sprites for Diddy holding a heavier Kong.

Guys, so I will test your sprites, I'm making several corrections to the teaming up system at this time (and fixing the switch between Dixie and Diddy).

I don't know if you've seen it, but I've done animations of DK walking with a Kong. I am also working on animating all the Kongs on his shoulders. The regular sprites need just a little editing, mainly erasing the feet. I still have to complete the a few more things to make all of the animations DK would need to use the team-up move.

I think the Expresso and Winky crates are from the first DKC. In fact, all the animal crates look like the ones in the games.

Whoever did was Fernando (Kalango), and they already have collision engine.

Looking good! Wow, a lot of edits need to be done to make DK forwards-compatible and Dixie/Kiddy backwards-compatible. :P

And Leo, I know you've said you've had a couple problems with English here and there. I just want to point out early that the title of the game, in English, should probably be "The Kongs Return."

This is looking great! My only comment would be on the DK slap vs. Punch. How are they different in terms of gameplay?

EDIT: I just watched again, and I'm even more impressed by what you've done this time. You've managed to emulate Dixie's flight perfectly.
Will you adapt Rambi so he can tread water like Ellie?

Hi. The DKCatlas user 'aperson' created the Rambi floating sprites, but they're for the DKC Rambi, not DKC2 (in the original, Rambi was grey, but in DKC2 he is "brown"). Also, notice that he created Winky's and Expresso's crates in DKC2/3 style (i.e. tilted) which does look better than the DKC1 style. I think you should consider using the tilted crates instead of the DKC1 and the custom ones you created, it will look better. Link: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=576&start=50
Other than that, nice progress, looking forward to playing it. By the way, will a level editor be available? And netplay?

First I have been informed that the hiperkalango computer is damaged, because of a lightning of a storm! But he survived and got me a copy of the project source. He should be back within a few days.

It's very interesting the idea of ​​Rambi can float on water, I really liked the "aperson98" sprites. I'll talk about it with hiperkalango.
On the buddies crates, as they are ready on our project, I believe that will remain as is. But thanks for the suggestion.
On the level editor and netplay, is too early to talk about it, but maybe in the future.

Very nice progress. Looking forward for the expresso.
The winky looks really nice. Will the rattly be just like winky but with the ability to "charge" the jump? I was thinking about what could differentiate winky from rattly and i think i got an idea. What if you could go underwater with winky? It makes perfect sense. It could give you better swimming control, similar to the frog vest in Mario Bros 3. Enguarde would still be useful because he can attack underwater, winky would just have better (but not faster) swimming. Of course this would need some custom sprites, but i think its a worth mentioning idea.

If Winky can swim underwater but not attack, and maybe gets a horizontal charge jump as opposed to Rattly's vertical, that would make him interesting.

Watch out, Kiddy on Expresso! As for your Winky swimming idea for underwater, I think that would make sense and I'd like to see it. Whether or not you want to put the idea in the game is still up to you, of course.

Right now, I'm working on attempting to see if I can edit Winky to make it look like he's swimming. I still need to redo Kiddy swinging on the rope. I'm also working on making sprite sheets for everything.

I also like the idea of a long jump for Winky. My only question is how will that differ from Expresso?

Don't do it Phyreburnz! Remember what your docter said about overspriting! Just kidding, but maybe Winky's long jump could be like the Incredible Hulk's?

Winky can bounce off enemies. Expresso can hover but gets hurt. I think there are more similarities between Expresso and blue Squawks, honestly.

Ah! I see! So, while Winky is jumping really far, if he runs into an enemy, he jumps off of them and goes further. Kinda like some areas in Super Mario World when he gets the cape, correct? I love that idea!
