One of the biggest changes(besides the music)in the GBA version of DKC3 was the replacing of Swanky's sideshow with Swanky's dash.
I really did not enjoy Swanky's dash. It felt like it did not belong in a Donkey Kong Country game.
I want to know what people think, did you like Swanky's dash, or do you think that they should of kept Swanky's sideshow in the game?

Honestly, I didn't like it either very much. Getting every star is annoying. I mean, Swanky's appearance is recycled from DKC2's remake, it's not even like they updated him. The concept itself is odd. However, consider this: the Sideshow only had Cranky see minimum screen time, but with Dash, Cranky would not fit in, so he had to be moved into his Dojos! Yay!

Wasn't it a rip-off of a Sonic game I can't recall?
I remember playing it when I was little, Sonic and Tails would go around in a tube thingy collecting rings, just how Dixie goes around collecting stars.

Probably... I recall reading that when I used to read a bunch of DKC3 reviews back when the game first game out. I wouldn't know for myself, though, as I don't play Sonic...

Yep, it's rip-off of the Sonic Chaos Emerald levels. Or something. I knew the tube thing looked familiar.

LOL when I first read the name of the topic I thought it said either "Swanky's Death" or "Swanky's Dead".

Anyway, y'all are right. They seem eeriely similiar...

The DKC3 port seemed to rip off a few games, in that case, for its new modes.

Well, Rare was lazy when making the GBA remakes of DKC/2/3...

Yeah, compared to Swankys Sideshow this was kind of boring. I thought the design just got repetitive and it was just a boring feature.
