Anyone blown by the music?

Hey guys. I have noticed this from the start of the game, the music has been changed to different soundtracks. Did you think that this soundtrack was truly amazing when compared to the rest of the games in its series? In my opinion, most soundtracks are better on the GBA version of the game then the SNES version of the game. Here are a few I like alot for example: Water World, Pokey Pipes, Mill Fever, Stilt Village, Waterfall, Cavern Caprice, Treetop Tumble and Jungle Jitter. These songs I actually found to be better then the original because, well they just fit better. Yeah, Treetop Tumble was not the best when it came to Ripsaw Rage but the other levels? It seemed like you were exploring a huge forest inside the trees and thats just what you were doing. The others were okay but Rockface Rumble was WAYYYYY better on SNES. As for Frosty Frolics, I thought it was a little, you know cheery. Jangle Bells is really hard to choose between though. Anyone else find it this way in your opinion?

To me, both sets of soundtracks seem to fit, because it all depends on the mood you experience when playing the levels. Take Stilt Village for example. A level like the first one has more the SNES music feel, as the music is cheery and proud. Meanwhile in Stormy Seas, the GBA music, along with the raging background, gives you that sense of looming danger, like a force going against you that you cannot control. It all just depends on your mindset when playing the levels.

Most of the SNES songs were to...dark in some more light looking levels. Treetop levels should have a nice upbeat tune besides Ripsaw Rage and SNES Treetop Tumble was way to slow for that but dark enough. Stilt Village was a little goofy on the SNES. I am not hating on them, in fact Stilt Village on SNES is a great song, but I just like the GBA soundtrack almost a bit better, I still cannot decide.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think the soundtrack on the GBA version is better. Not saying the SNES version is bad. But the GBA version isn't as brooding, and it fits more with some of the levels. It's just fun to listen to and it really reflects the era in gaming at the time (mid-2000s, you know.) I wish they would have released the GBA soundtrack on CD because I would really love to have that.

One thing I found annoying, though. They play the same song at every Brothers Bear, every helper Kong (if I'm not mistaken) AND the Queen Banana Bird at the end. Totally inappropriate. All in all, great music though.

EDIT: The world map music fit well with some maps, but not others. K3 works better with the SNES music, but the water worlds (Pacifica, Cotton Top Cove, Lake Orangatanga) fit the GBA.
