I discovered this one a while ago on a regular SNES:



Basically, to get to the 2nd and 3rd screen, let Enguarde fall but mash the Y button while doing so. Eventually, it'll let you hover with him continuously. I'd imagine that it works in other levels, too, but I'm not sure if it's possible to try it in Arctic Abyss.

I've had to dislodge Enguarde from dry land a few times over the years... Why the heck did I never notice that?!

It works in Arctic Abyss, too.

Worth noting: If you float to a point where the water drops further, Enguarde will drop also, remaining parallel with the water's surface.
