Has anyone notice that in barrel cannon canyon the cave in the beginning and at the end are missing some tiles in the cave and I took a snapshot but its hard to see. At first I thought it was because of the DKC editor that made that happen so I checked it out on a clean donkey kong country game that wasn't touched with the editor and it was also on that rom. It's just one of those questions that we won't know why nintendo didn't finish that cave tile set.

It's because those "unfinished" tiles are given priority. When the Kongs enter or exit through one of these caves, the tiles with the gaps overlap them, making it look as if they are going through the cave, like so:

As the cave interior and cave wall are on the same layer, they couldn't just fill in the transparent parts of those tiles with black, or else this would happen:

See how D.K. and Rambi's sprites are cut off?

On a normal CRT TV screen (the way the game was meant to be played), the spaces are barely noticeable.

Shy Guy's Stash you would be surprised about how much you don't notice on old TV's, like the color dithering some games on the Snes and a lot of games on the Genesis did.
