Movie/TV Show Topic

This is the topic where you talk about movies and TV shows, and post what your favorite movie/TV show is. Do NOT however, talk about the inappropriate content of rated R/NC-17 movies, as this is a site for all ages. You may post a rated R/NC-17 movie as your favorite, but don't post anything about any of the material that gives those movies their ratings.

As for me, I don't know what my favorite movie is, I have lots of favorites :) .

Get Smart and Kung Fu Panda are funny, but beyond that I haven't seen any new movies this summer. The Office is probably my second favorite show... First place goes to Avatar, which is the best thing ever to grace television screens ever in the history of everness.

So, anyone else here obsessed as I am? :P

I do watch Nickelodeon, and I really like watching Spongebob, but Avatar just doesn't seem interesting to me. I do like to watch Disney Channel though, which is where I watch "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody", but I heard that they are canceling that show, and making a new one called, "The Suite Life on Deck".

YOU DARE BRING LIGHT TO MY LAIR? YOU MUST DIE!!!

I disagree with you, but respectfully so. I hope you know this means we'll never make babies together. [/Master of Disguise reference]

YOU HAVE A DARK LAIR AND SUPPORT DONKEY KONG? DONKEY KONG IS A HERO, NOT VILLIAN, SO YOU'RE THE ONE THAT MUST DIE! (Sorry about the caps.)

My favorite shows are primary in Nickelodeon, they are:
Ned's Declassified, Drake & Josh, The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The last Airbender, L & O: Special Victims Unit, Dr. House/House MD, Smallville, Zoey 101.
I think that's all.

Meet Dave was sooo funny. Also, Indiana Jones was really cool and Wall-E was a lot better than it looked.

I'm real big on movies. :]

Yes, the Dark Knight was awesome!I didn't like Batman Begins all that much with the whole apocaliptic thing, but this was just great!

Spoiler!
They never did explain how he really got his scars, though.

Meh... The final part of the movie was weird.
Spoiler!
I didn't like the aliens close-up on the girl, kind of stupid, but overall the movie was cool.

Indiana Jones' ending was okay...

I mean the scene with the aliens, the whole thing for the girl (can't remember name), the crystal head, and that.
Spoiler!
What I didn't like was how she claimed for it to stop, and the alien kind of got a close-up forcing her more, it looked so fake. But the plot, and the rest of the ending was pretty good.

Spoiler!
I'm glad they never explained the Joker's scars. The whole thing just added the craziness to the character. I don't like movies where they spoonfeed a wierd explanation to every detail, we don't need to know everything. It's unrealistic for someone to explain all these kinds of things in the middle of the situation, sometimes it's better to be left in the dark. It's what made Cloverfield so great.

I guess. But still, I would have liked to hear the real story.
Spoiler!
If Batman had said he wanted to hear the story, we probabaly would have gotten another made up story.

Spoiler!
The magic trick... The magic trick...

I thought this was probably the best movie I've ever seen, I loved it, and I was Batman fanboy-gasming the whole time.

Wow

Spoiler!
Although I'm sad, because we'll never get to see the Joker acted out in this way EVER again. :(

Alright Kiddy, now you must acquire a taste for freeform jazz. :| 8-)

Haven't seen The Dark Knight, but I can already tell that the Joker interpretation is spot on. It's a shame that dude did away with himself. (That is what happened, right?)

I think that's what happened, all I know is he can't be the Joker again, and that makes me a hella sad Zinger. Turning red.. you won't like me when I'm red...

Hell no, he didn't kill himself! He accidentally took too much headache medicine(or something along those lines) and then :o .

There were conspiracy theories for a long time that playing the sadistic role of the Joker turned him to kill himself. This isn't true though, it was just an accident.

Obviously, the world will never know for sure. Maybe the Joker makeup gave him really bad headaches, and...?

I must warn the Kyoshi Warriors! Nooooooo! :o

Maybe it did, or maybe playing the role of the Joker drove him mentally insane, and that's why he did so well : He wasnt really acting!

Thats it! I solved the mystery!

But we must save the Kyoshi Warriors!

Black guy: this is nuts. you're going down.
Joker: *slams black guy's head into pensil and pulls both out from the table*... Ta da :D

No more Batman? xD
Anyway... where do you get this House intro?
I know USA has Teardrop's tune and that... but the rest of the world uses this one; Latin America changes its song for this one since second season... and I was wondering if it was broadcasted with that second song in other countries too, or?
I was discussing this one with a friend and she told me only Latin America gets the second season song... but I remember hearing Germany also gets it... though I don't seem to find the info anymore...

Alright, this has to be said... Even though I've only seen the first hour of it.

Spoiler!
WALL●E IS PERHAPS THE GREATEST FILM OF ALL TIME! We watched it in Biology today, and it was literally unlike anything I had ever seen. Even the Pizza Planet Truck and A113 were there for us die-hard Pixar fans! It's a shame I had an assembly to go to, or I would have stayed and watched the whole thing.

BURN●E also made meh roflmao.

I saw the whole thing, and it was cool, but Get Smart was so much better.

Spoiler!
"May I have the cone of silence, please?"... *pushes button*... "OH I'M SO HAPPY!! THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIIIIIIIFE!!!!"

"Umm... Max, you didn't push it hard enough. :|"... "So... you could hear me?"

WallE was way better than I thought it would be, though. I thought it was going to be another one of those dumb kiddie movies. Hehe. Everyone on the Axiom weighed like 800 pounds.

Anyway, I recently saw Eagle Eye, was sooo awesoome!

I agree with you, it IS the best movie...EVER.

Why? Because...
Spoiler!
I love how it's filmed! It gives you a feeling as if there were a cameraman zooming in and out. I also like how the beginning of the movie is pretty much silent. I was amazed with the unique storyline, which seems very different from what Pixar would regularly make. My only complaint is that the ending should've been longer and could've gone into more detail about the humans' life in Earth.

And BURN-E is funny as heck! Compared to other Pixar shorts, it actually takes place DURING the movie's events, as opposed to taking place in a different setting, and seeing how every event in the movie affected him was just funny.

Get Smart is also a movie I'd recommend. It's funny how he can screw up everything in the funniest ways!

Spoiler!
I especially liked the part when they're in the yellowcake uranium factory and a worker says that BOTH types of yellowcake are there. Then they show the workers celebrating a birthday with a yellowcake!

Yeah.

99: Of course there's yellow cake, it's a bakery.

Also, poor Laribee keeps getting stapled in the head.

I haven't been to the theaters lately. The latest movie I saw in the cinemas was The Simpsons Movie.

I liked that part! Fortunately, it fit with the Spanish dub, since the Spanish word for dome is very similar!

The latest movie I saw in theaters was Madagascar 2. I'm not a frequent visitor to the theater, since I only watch 7 to 9 movies in a year! It was a good movie, but the people who were sitting in front of us had these balloon swords that were constantly blocking the screen. :x
