just found this forum today via youtube. i did not know it was posibble to edit DK, now i can dream up anything.

hard start so far, i managed to find DKedit. but i have no idea how to use, and i have tons of other questions.

is there a beginners thread here i could read?

The name's krem, krematoa and i'm 13 .I play dkc since... I always played dkc!. Usually i am not doing that many jockes don't worry about that ... I like to learn about beta dkc-related things and major glitches of any game.

Hi everyone!
First of all I should probably explain my name. Have used "nintendobarn" for alot of years and translated from swedish to english it would be "nintendo child" so it has nothing to do with a barn.
I found this forum while looking for glitches for DKC. I´m 26 years and have a wierd love for these games. Never could afford a snes back in 94 but played DKC whenever I got a chance. But lucky enough for me I had an old GB so I got the DKL trilogy instead. At the moment I play the DKC trilogy whenever I need a break from my studies.
Read a little about the editor and really want to learn more about the project. If there is anything you would like to know about me, feel free to ask.

I saw this giant header that said "New to the forum? Introduce yourself!" so here I am baaaaaaby!

I have been Googling and Binging and DuckDuckGoing for the longest time on how to hack DKC2. I found the Japanese editor, tried to unzip the file, but stupid Norton thought it was a virus. I was in contact with Norton about this false-positive when Kingizor uploaded an english translation. HOORAY. No false-positive here.

Four months later, I have completed my version of a fully hacked DKC2, which I will be sharing with you all very shortly. Every level has been edited, even Stronghold Showdown. I have made gameplay videos of all levels and as of this post, am uploading them all to YouTube. I'm going to stop talking about my project now and save it for its dedicated thread.

I also can't wait to try your hack out -- I recently played through an impeccably designed DKC1 hack (all levels edited, including the terrain layouts and object/enemy locations) that was tons of fun. I've been looking for a good DKC2 hack.

Welcome menthanol case! I guess you'll be taking my role as "the new guy", and by the sounds of your hack, you have more to bring to the table than I do. Just look at you, with the numbers, and the terrain, and the hexdecimals, and, awww you know what I'm saying! Well anyway, once I figure out how to play it, I'll write a review for you!

Just some random dude from Australia introducing himself. I used to own all 3 SNES DKC games cartridges back in the day, and I still come back to play these gems occassionally.

Other games I play sometimes include Sonic (of course), Unreal Tournament, Dynasty Warriors, and whatever JRPG's I can find.

I didn't know a DKC hacking community even existed till gamefaqs user mentholcase posted his DKC2 hack. So credit him for me finding this place.
