				Teh l33tness Thread.

Come on, you know you've heard of it. When kids on the internet want to act cool, they intentionally misspell words, use abreviations, and replace letters with numbers to make themselves feel cool. This thread is for the discussion and use of "l33tness". In any other normal thread, you wouldn't be able to say things like: (Warning, I swear.)
"lol teh b...*bleep*...ch on Brawl got pwned!"
So, you get teh po1nt. Have fun!

All that lingo crap doesn't say "Look at me! I'm cool!

". It says "l00kee h3r3 n00b im uh fr34kn reetrd hoo cant tiep wurth uh cr4p!

" Some lingo is nice like "gonna" "u" "lol" and "C'mon", but when people start typing like stupid idiots and you can't even understand a word they're saying, that just tells you they have no life whatsoever. I'm not saying people should type in 15 character words acting like English class actually mattered, but some of that crappy lingo some people use is way too much.

I find it a little annoying... still, I have an appreciation for those who can use substitution cyphers to communicate in realtime. As long as we keep this kind of communication to a minimum in other boards (as occasional jokes), I don't mind. Hopefully having a thread for 1337 talkin' will get it out of everyone's system, and keep our sanities in tact.
That said, I used to go by the brief pseudonym
dvs1 in some games, so I'm no stranger to the idea of this.

Ha, that's funny. BUT I LIEK T3H L33TN3ZZ! Yes, yes indeed. I find l33tness acceptable in chatrooms and in enclosed spaces, but using it in your daily life is rather stupid. Especially on the forums, where I like to think that we're all intelligent people.
But hey, that's why this thread is here.

Using it
on forums is rather stupidness. Saying it out loud? Now that's crazy.

There's no 1337-ness in spanish =P Well, not that I know.
Instead, we usually replace letters, like instead of "Que onda, que haces? We say: "K onda, k hces?"
Girls are another story though, they like writing really weird. I found the following on a Fotolog profile:
bno yaa m boii
looss qiieroo muchooo!
cuidenCe dmasiiadoo¨(:
There says:
Bueno, ya me voy.
Los quiero mucho!
Cuidence demasiado (:
Well, I need to go.
I love you too much!
Care for yourselves a lot!

Interesting, very interesting. Does anyone know forms of 1337-ness that exist in other languages? I am completely intrigued by this subject... lulzors.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the 1,337th post of the Anything Goes discussion. I now demand the title of "Uber-1337 Pwnzor".
Come on... Please?
