EDIT: Used to be called "Greatest Cartoons of Your Childhood", but was renamed because every single post was about Spongebob.

Yuck, Spongebob.

I'd go with the classic Simpsons, Rocko's Modern Life, perhaps Invader Zim (although that was more later childhood really), Ren & Stimpy, Aaaargh Real Monsters and perhaps some of the classic Rugrats - as soon as they brought Dil into the picture, the whole show took a fall, and kept falling afterwards.

SpongeBob SquarePants is easily the best cartoon on television today, no exceptions. The show is brilliant, with just the right touch of adult humor. And SpongeBob is an idiot.

What's not to like?

Yeah, it still makes me laugh.

Patrick: Spongebob, sometimes we gotta go deep inside ouselves to solve our problems.
Spongebob: I'm scared. :(
Patrick then I'm goin' in for ya. *Squeezes his way inside Spongebob*
Patrick: It's dark in here. Better light a match. *lights match*
*smoke comes out of Spongebob*
Patrick: *Cough* *cough*

Spongebob and Patrick ride to the moon in a rocket where theres no gravity...

Spongebob: Look Patrick, were floating around!
*Rocket goes back to Earth and everything falls down again*
Patrick: Hey! Who turned the heavy back on!?

Yeah, Spongebob is really cool, but I cannot say it's my favourite childhood cartoon, because I started watching it when I was already 18...
I really liked Robin Hood (not the Disney-one, but the Anime). And that was 10 years before I heard the word "Anime" the first time!

Did you guys see the one where Squidward conducted the symphony? Patrick bends over and SpongeBob puts a plastic glove on. The camera zooms out and you here Patrick yelling, but then it zooms back in to show that SpongeBob is just squeezing a rubber duck. They made you think that...

Well, you know.

Hahaha. This *really* should be renamed to The SpongeBob Thread. Oh, I see it has been renamed. Good show. There hadn't been a single post which wasn't SquarePants related, so it was appropriate, really.

Personally, I think SpongeBob (the cartoon) can be summed up in three words; ridiculous, idiotic, absolutelygoddamnhilarious. That last one's a compound word. I can see why people might not like this show (SpongeBob's voice is likely an acquired taste...), but I've personally had many good laughs from it, so I'd have to say it's one of my favourite cartoons. Like Stone, I was not a young'un when I first saw SpongeBob, but I liked it plenty, even still.

There hasn't been a good episode since '05. The Campfire episode and Where's Gary were the only recent ones I liked.

I like the one where Spongebob and Patrick get in a box and imagine stuff. And the one with the Krusty Krab hotel
Spoiler!
Spongebob: We're all out of cheese.
Patrick: Yay! *Hotel room is covered in cheese*

Squidward: Patrick, please sign here. :x
Patrick: Done. :) *Draws a giant Patrick monster attacking a city*

I like how they always use non-animated objects to represent usually animated things (Ex: When they did a close up on Spongebob's mouth and used a non-animated yellow-tinted one.)

I think it was in the Karate one in which Sandy grabs spongebobs tongue and is about to drip a drop of hot sauce on it, and when they zoom in on the drop a human face i son it and says; "In the name of Neptune, I command this drop of hot sauce to be really, really hot!". I believe this drop's face was actually patchy the pirate's face, who I also believe does the voice of Spongebob. Can anyone else confirm this?

It certanly looks like him, along with the guy that they used for a human face to put on Squidward. The guy that plays Spongebob (And also Gary) is Tom Kenny. He even said that his favorite voice was Gary (over Spongebob!)

Well, I believe this episode was before they had Patchy, so that would explain why that actor was already on the show.

Yes, the hot sauce guy, Patchy, SpongeBob, and Gary are all played by Tom Kenny.

Tom Kenny also does the voice of Petey Piranha in certain games. I is so smart!

I have gone to the dark side of the Sponge. It's more rough, for scrubbing, instead of absorbent and moist. I hate that moisture, it was so, so moist, and also so very damp.

One of the best Spongebob-Videos on Youtube, it's really funny. :D

The original comment of the creator (original was deleted for a reason I don't know) was something like: "Remember, you can't spell FUNERAL without F.U.N.!"

This was the reason: This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Viacom International, Inc. Damn! But luckily other people have saved it!

Haha! that portrait of the pirate!

Here's something funny I remembered from the episodes:
Sponge: I made a cake for Sandy.
Pat: *eats cake*
Sponge: Patrick, that was for Sandy :o
Pat: Oh. *Reaches in and pulls cake out of throat*
Sponge: Perfect!
Later...
Sponge: We made you a cake, Sandy. Let's eat! :D
Pat: Oh, boy! This is gonna taste so good again! :)

From the Spongebob Movie:

Spongebob: "Hey Pat, do you still have that bag of winds?"
Patrick turns around to show a large lump in his pants in the rear.
Patrick: "I sure do!"
Then they both start laughing, and then Patrick pulls out the bag in his left hand, showing that the lump was still there, and all the laughter just stops.

King Neptune is trying to cover his bald spot and Squire pulls out a hair growth spray and King Neptune bends over to get his head sprayed.

Squire: *shakes can for 10 seconds*
Neptune: *Looks at Squire* Squire, will you hurry? :?
Squire: *Accidently sprays King Neptune's eyes*
"AAAAH! AAAAH!" says King Neptune with hair all over his eyes.

One of the funniest parts in the history of Spongebob...

Spongebob: Wow! State-of-the-art jellyfish nets!
Patrick: Tooouuuch :?
Police man: Don't touch.
Spongebob: Wow! The harpoon from Jellyfish The Movie!
Patrick: Tooouuuch :?
Police man: Don't Touch!
Spongebob: Dr. Allimore; the guy who got stung by Big Lenny... and lived.
Dr. Allimore:...and now it only hurts when you touch it. OWWWWW!!!!
Patrick: Tooouuuch :?
Police man: Do I have to follow you around all day!?
...
Spongebob: Look... it's the best jellyfisher ever; Kevin the sea Cucumber! If I could just touch the hem of his pocket protector, maybe some of his greatness would rub off on me.
Patrick: As a friend, I must say that's really geeky... Oh my gosh! Jeffery Jellyfish!! Wait, Jeffery!! I have to touch you!!
Police man: HEY!!

Doodlebob(From My video): Yo motha' is so fat, she jumped into tha air and got stuck.

The way he says it is funny.

Youtube has several videos of Spongebob episodes with "BLEEEP" sound effects added to them to make them sound they're cussing.

Pat: "You rub it on your BLEEEEP and makes you live forever."
Sponge: "It'll make your BLEEEEP grow"
Squid: "I've got a date with a little lady and her name is BLEEEEP"
Squid: "They're entrepenures, they BLEEEEP people."
Pat: "I got it: Let's get naked!" Sponge: "No. Let's save that for when we're BLEEPing BLEEEEP."

I saw a deleted scene from 'Just One Bite':
Squid: There it is, unguarded *Looks into Krusty Krab* Wait this is too easy, there must be some kind of security. *Looks up to see a bucket of water above the door* A bucket of water? That's our security? *Kicks door open and bucket falls* that was easy! Wait this isn't water *Sniffs* this is... GAS?! *Robot hand drops lit match* AAAAAH!! *explosion*
Squid: *Runs into kitchen panting*... *another bucket falls* AAAAAAH!!! *explosion*
