Real reason the expansion pack was used

To think all this time it was needed to prevent the game from crashing, although I'm guessing even if I could have ran it would have been like Perfect Dark stripped of most of the features.

I don't believe that Nintendo was lying when they said that DK64 couldn't work without the Expansion Pak. Personally, I don't blame them for saying that the game was too big for the regular N64 4 MB setup. Finally, thanks for sharing this article, aperson98.

I cant't blame them either, honestly game breaking bug or not DK64 was better off with the expansion pack, I mean look at Banjo-Tooie as much as I love the game it was slow in the frames per second department using the normal N64 setup, and B-T's maps were smaller then DK64's.

:scratch: Maybe if someone use use a gameshark code for plays without the expansion pak he or she could find the misterious bug.
