I came across this commercial the other day. Kinda cheesy animation but I wonder if that Donkey Kong model is the actual one used in the game?

Yeah, very cheesy, but a cool piece of history. I saw this a while back (a month...?), and should have posted it... but didn't.

Here's an ad for DKL2 that I remember from TV... I loved it so much.
Song: Rock & Roll by Gary Glitter, if I recall correctly.

Yea I kind of remember that add but I wasn’t interest at all in the game so I put it in the back of my mind somewhere... I just remember how it irritated me so much that it was just a direct port. I had so much fun with DKL1 almost as much as the SNES version and then they took the lazy way with DKL2. I have both DKL1+3. I thought DKL3 was a port also but not to such a great extent.

by the way how can we embed these flash videos into the thread? That would be great!

Gary Glitter? Wasn't he a child pornographer or something? His name would reflect such behavior.....



So...DKL commercials... I liked that first one of DKL. Very cool to see this stuff.

Yeah, I feel the same way... but I found the ad for it, with the jumping chimps and the heyyy!/music very cool and catchy.

Looks like it, but the rendering isn't nearly as good as the official art. That and the animation is, well, crap.

I think Nintendo/Rare should make a game using the render models, Not just sprites.
That'd be pretty cool
