Re: The Random Thoughts Topic

Ouch, losing data's never fun. My best friend's computer just crashed today too. For some reason it won't turn on. Anyway, I've had this happen to me too many times and have essentially gone over the top to prevent myself from losing anything ever, mostly because I am continually doing work on my co...

Re: Shall we make a DKC 4?

I like the concept of an evil Kong though and I'm not opposed to it. The idea I posted about Klubba wouldn't really work as a DKC4 storyline because it's too epic. I like the simpler concept of Karny much better. Besides, the plot is not the important part, it's the gameplay. If the plot becomes so ...

Re: Shall we make a DKC 4?

Of course, this is DKC4, and the DKC series is very much built on formula and cliche. The plot Cfh describes sounds like it would work for a very epic 3D DK game, but too complicated for DKC4. Perhaps some deviation could be taken in the plot, but not so much to the point that it tries to tie in all...

Re: Shall we make a DKC 4?

Here are my suggestions: -Having two antagonists only works one way, having "Karny Kong" be the antagonist for the majority of the game only to reveal that he was being manipulated or controlled by K. Rool in the end, a la DKC3. -If Karny Kong is meant to be the generic evil doppelganger a...

Re: DKC Custom Level Ideas

I'm only half paying attention here but if you're trying to make a trampoline look DKC-ish then I would make it like a tan hide stretched around a rim rather than the red and white target looking one you have right now. Re: Kong Family Tree/Relationship Discussion

First of all, Nintendo didn't make Brawl, HAL did. And Sakurai has no authority over the continuity of the DK series. A cameo appearance by DK should not dictate how the series goes. Also, if the Kaptain K. Rool mistake was an error in translation then the Cranky Kong being DK's Grandfather thing co...

Re: Kong Family Tree/Relationship Discussion

Correction: A newer game called Super Smash Bros. Brawl supports that view, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl also states that Kaptain K. Rool is King K. Rool's brother. As far as Rare is concerned (who, might I remind you, created Cranky Kong) Cranky is DK's father, and Loveday said that any instance cla...

Re: The Future is upon us

This proposed technology is not a prototype game controller; I've actually been under the impression that it was a new computer interface. I suppose the Guitar Hero would throw one off, but I think that that was just a way to show off the technology in a relevant way.
