I have some suggestions:

- Could you add some DKC2 enemies to your test level?
- How are you doing the sound effects for hitting enemies and collecting items?
- For nostalgia purposes, can you use the KONG-letters sound effect from DKC1?

The project is still ongoing. The delay, however, has been extended to about a week. Personal problems with Leo Core, and there seems to be another notebook casualty. At least that's what I'm getting with the Bing Translator.

BitDefender picked up your program as a virus. I was forced to delete it. So I am unable to test it.

Leo Core, can you create an alternate version of the beta test so that I can test it? I'll post a log here shortly (after I restart the computer, of course).

WARNING: Do not apply this patch to a ROM that is being used as the basis for your resource editing needs. DKCRE will refuse to load any DKC ROM which contains Mattress's audio fix.

I was hoping DKCRE would accept your applied patch as the resource ROM, but it doesn't.

Some sound effects are missing, like the DKC1 Enemy Bounce and the beta TNT sound. Might be best to include those in the catalog. That way I can set up my own bytes list.

I can safely say "Case closed for the rope swinging." I do want to point out that there is still one little glitch. In the original DKC, whatever your active Kong did, the standby Kong would imitate. So if Dixie were swinging on the rope, Donkey would have done the same in the background. ...

You know, if you were to add the pecking frames, then pull out the item as you described, it would make Expresso's "dig" feature more believable. And I could consider using it for my game.

It's after Donkey collides with an enemy. He falls down, shakes his head, then gets up. I remember seeing that in the DKCRE.

It's fairly similar to the demo in the Donkey Kong Country: Exposed promo vid.

I reviewed Diddy and Dixie's honeycomb frames again to see what they had. Diddy has a few breathing frames, then he checks his left. Dixie's eyes blinks for a few seconds, then she samples the honey sap. I knew DK was missing something else to go with this, but I couldn't figure it out until a demo ...

In the original DKC1, when shot out of a cannon, Expresso's legs are spread out. The jump frames are used.

It looks good. My only concern is with Rambi's legs. Look at the coloring: the light grey doesn't match well with the rest of his body, which is of a darker grey with some shadow. Missing in the Dixie sheet is her "steel keg" animation frames. This can be accessed by riding on a Steel Keg or by tossing Kiddy Kong to a wall and then riding off of him after a rebound.

Kiddy Kong also has these frames, except it can only be done by riding on a Steel Keg.
