Öhmm, those glitches happened a while ago, so I don't know if it happened before our house burned or after that. Hard-Drives don't run on batteries, but the average cartridge battery lasts at least longer than the average HDD ;)
Of course, with roms you have the possibility to copy save files on USB-Stick, etc.

Same problem here, my Pokémon Gold also lost its memory.
It its the only game from my entire cartridge collection that lost memory.

Maybe the real time clock feature eats up the battery that quick, because my old Red and Yellow games still have all my Pokémon 8-)

Handy is the word that has been naturalised for mobile phones in germany, maybe back in a time they weren't that handy :) I got my first one (K750i) in 2005, shortly after I was called up for military service. Every tileset is white, only Ship Deck has tiles that are non-white.

It is also the only one extracting without this message:

I've tested the Extraction now and it works until it askes to create level maps after pressing y.

And I'm sure that I have the [U] 1.0 [!]
I'll try it on a second PC tomorrow. Maybe I should check the checksum of the rom

P.S.: The tiles generated first are all white, i think that's not normal ;)

Wow, the 32,768² pixel limit gives you the possibility to design a level bigger than whole Donkey Kong Country!

It would be nice implementing LAN/Netplay-Support when everything else is working.
I am thinking of an 8-player mode in which you have to find a randomly placed DK-coin in a huge level ;)

Somehow the factory levels have a strange attraction on me, I like the graphics but I think the music is the factor I started loving them that much.
Snow levels are the second best for me, for similar reasons Cyclone already said. You almost get a feeling like you are really lost in a blizzard.
