Most likely possible. You could also do an ASM hack. (ASM = 65c816 Assembly, the scripting code the SNES uses) Although, I don't know how that could be accomplished, at least not yet.

As for a technical reason, I think they did that to save space. The lower-right area just isn't used in snow levels... I assume it's the exact same data, except it displays using whatever level type you were in. So if you were in the middle of a factory level, all of the bonuses become factory-theme...

I think I remember... I needed a quick 100% save game, so I downloaded a TAS'd emulator movie and let it run all the way through, and then that was what I ended up with.

So yeah, I can't beat that, but I can at least complete it in about 45 minutes. I want to do a real 100% speed-run now!
