Ratty would probably be my favourite Animal Buddy. It just seems easier using him to bounce through the levels, killing anything easily and going anywhere. Oh, and Rattle Battle is probably the best level ever.

I'd probably build a house similar to DK's or buy a shack at the Northern Kremisphere. Somewhere in the overworld, sunny and with water.

I wasn't here, but next weekend should work out well for me.

I'm ok, I'm pretty sure Qyz is ok (no clue where his adventures may lead him...) and to the best of my knowledge, Gnawzooka and Kowbrainz are over in WA. So unless I missed someone, we're ok. There's 181 people (last I checked) that aren't though. Not to mention the 1000 houses burnt down, 1 million...

About the Kruncha throwing trick: I think if you're teamed up, you can just jump on him and he'll die. I'll check tonight on my DS.

I'd get them in order. You can pick up the games as just a cart (without the box or manual) for under $10 Australian, which is dirt cheap. About the mourning sprites: Maybe if you lost a bonus or something, they'd walk off the screen with those sprites. I think the death of a character midway through the story is a little too complex/mature for DKC.

I liked Sapphire the best. I mean, the monsters start getting odder and odder but I thought that the actual adventure was the most fun. The landscapes were all pretty nice, and the changing backgrounds and stuff was cool too.

I never meant to kill the dream...
