Re: DKL 100% TAS

Well, I've TASed several 8 bit games before :), such as SMB3 and Bubble Bobble. So this isn't really new territory afterall.

Thanks anyway! World 2 WIP should be up next week hopefully.

DKL 100% TAS

A few years back I was working on a Tool Assisted Speedrun of this game. I quit that project because I wasn't satisfied with the result. I have now gone back to the project and will focus on it from now on. I have finished the first world and is haflway through the second. The first world can be see...

Re: DKC TAS

Katzii: It is possible to do that warp glitch on console as well. It's just very hard. Once you are in the bonus, you have one frame to exit it with both characters, if you go too early the game will crash (It MAY, I have no idea though, damage your cart) and too late you'll warp to the wrong level....

Re: Diddy Roll Glitch

"if you roll just before you land on another Necky, you will roll in a straight line"
It's actually the very same moment that you land on the Necky, that you need to start the roll. One frame earlier/later will make it fail =).

And indeed, this is an awesome glitch.

Re: Is Rambi nerfed?

Rambi's running speed is 1008 in DKC, but only 768 in DKC2. The number means how many subpixels you are moving forward every frame. One subpixels is 1/256 pixel. So 1008 speed is slighty less than 4 pixels/frame and 768 is 3 pixels/frame. When you use the charge attack in DKC2, Rambi's speed goes up...

As I thought, they are taking more and more steps away from a regular controller. Sure, this is "the only way" to keep on having new technology and stuff for video games. But I have always prefered a regular controller, such as the SNES one, and will always stay that way.

Re: Glitch Koin

Yeah, it's a nice glitch. It happens because Koin isn't spawning when he's outside the screen. Saves some time at several places in a run.
I know that Kazooie did a video of it a few years ago, there is a need of more useful DKC3 glitches as there aren't that many that helps.
