Kiddy Kong is only called Dinky Kong (ディンキーコング) in the Japanese version, just like in the Japanese version of DKC3. Indeed, the Japanese version of DKL3 is titled "Donkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong" (ドンキーコングGB ディンキーコング&ディクシーコング).

Yeah, I used the map viewer and kept using Alt+Print Screen. I also hacked the level starting points in the ROM to be able to get to those inaccessible places (like lots of solid space).

Emulation problem. Funnily enough, the problem isn't limited to VisualBoyAdvance; I also saw the problem in a crappy Java-based emulator called JavaBoy. Anyway, if you use VisualBoyAdvance-M, it fixes this problem.

They really were biting off more than they could chew when creating the GBC port of Donkey Kong Country. I remember being quite excited about it when I first realised the full DKC adventure was going portable - but the physics alone scared me off after just a couple of levels. It was really painful...
