Yeah, it's known. At least to me. There are more of those warps in the game, but all others requires you to start rolling at the perfect frame to suicide. Quite funny warp, too bad it isn't useful :/.
I believe the only thing I can help with is betatesting. As I'm not good at programming, designing, or anything like that... I'm really looking forward to a good result however!
Yeah, I know that. Sub 30 is possible in the theory, but it will require you to use several of the TAS tricks that you don't even know about, and they are hard to do on console .
Set the goal to sub 30 . I haven't been speedrunning this for a long time now. I'm sticking to TASing for awhile. Current progress for that: Just finished Snow Barrel Blast with an in game timer of 14 minutes, 2 seconds and 45 frames. Not too bad.
One thing I REALLY HATE about NSMBWii is the fact that the game is paused when someone takes damage or taking a powerup. WHY IN EARTH DID THEY PROGRAM IT LIKE THAT?! IT'S STUPID AS crap! :x What will probably happen is that you are running against the hole, ready to jump, but then someone get...
I just finished DKL, 100%, today. I think the game is quite rubbish. The camera is one main reason. It isn't scrolling fast enough, sometimes not at all. It sucks that when you jump on a tree, and jump down from it again, you may die because the camera hasn't scrolled down enough to see the ground. ...
People who doesn't want to be spoiled should know better than to scroll down the topic anyway ;). Or else you could just send me a PM and I can answer your questions. Edit: "even by your standards." how much do you know about my standards anyway? =P. Arne has lost interest in TASing and he...
2 years and 52 minutes ago, Arne the great and I began to improve the current 101% run TAS at TASvideos.org. The project has taken very long because of several redos and such. The run should have been done a long time ago really... I decided to just put up a teaser for you, the first world. I have r...
Oh yeah, sorry, forgot to mention how to do it... But as Gnawzooka said, it's number 5 in both ZSNES and SNES9X. Other numbers remove the different layers in the game, such as the background. It's nice to fool around with.
Considering that you can't finish more than one level in neither or the three games. Well, you can beat the second level by teamthrowing and jumping on the target at the end far to the right. So the end would be the 4th level, Lockjaw. 14. See how many times in a row you can do midair jumping in DKC2.
This only happens if you die after the kredits has shown once and then you replay the fight. When you land on K. K. Rool the last time before the kredits you can't control the direction of the monkeys, they always bounce the same way.
74. When you start TASing one, or more, of the games. 75. When you buy the Donkey Kong Country Competition Cartridge. 76. When you want to buy every revision of one, or more, of the games. 77. When you play one, or more, of the games for 24 hours to see how many times it can be beaten.
You don't have to go for the world record when speedrunning a game. I find speedrunning to be fun, fun to test your own limits in a game. I also think it is a good way to replay a game that you have already played a lot of times before. It is after all a challenge!
Kow: Well, I didn't make the first vote, but I sure made the seconds ;). I've had the PAL-records at least... Going to get the NTSC-records once I have a DVD-recorder. Talking about Donkey Kong Country now by the way ;D. In other runs: I have Oracle of Seasons up at SDA, which is a very bad and rush...
Got Order of Ecclesia today. I played until the battery died. I should have saved more... So I'll stick to some Pokémon Crystal while my DS is charging.
Yeah, Belcha is odd. ElectroSpecter uploaded three different glitches that we found. There are probably more as well. I must agree that it looks funny when he loses his teeth for no reason .
Nice! I like to see LPs of this game. I want more glitches though . (I guess my own LP of it is enough for that though...) A tip: Add the DKC-Atlas homepage in your movie description. A good way to get more people here, isn't it?
Not an avi, but there's an MKV ready to be downloaded ;). And it isn't that hard to get a rom and the emulator to play the movie anyway =). Qyz: It was indeed possible to glitch up the camera in Ripsaw as well. The problem is that he has to wait for the saw anyway for some reason... So it ended up n...
Don't get me wrong, Qyz, as I didn't make this movie . I was working on it first and reached KAOS, but then I found a lot of timesavers in the beginning so I dropped it and began to work on the 105% instead, which I'm doing with ElectroSpecter, the guy who submitted this run.
Should I have put this in the Emulation section instead perhaps...? Anyway, a new DKC3 TAS, any% run, was submitted two days ago which might interest some of you here. http://tasvideos.org/2088S.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You need THIS modified SNES9X emulator to watch it, t...
