Re: DKC: Minor Bugs & Glitches

The game works by calculating whether the camera can vertically follow the Kong; if not, then the game will cause death. But there are not any specifically scripted lines, as far as I am aware. The game tests for DK falling some amount below the camera without landing on a surface. If he doesn't hi...

But wait... There's more. The black holes that are imprinted in the wall decorations are also surface points. You can stand on them just like if they were a regular platform. Yes. It can be difficult to hear because of the talking. I now have a theory on the echoes. The official audio rips has the reverb intact. But when you play the jungle levels, there is no reverb. Possible reasons: 1. There are alternate audio versions of the same SFX for the KONG letters without the...

Re: DKCLB Custom Level Ideas

Fans could even be useful in the pipe levels. If it were a water level, you could use it to "block" Enguarge from passing through a particular area. If you arrive from behind with Enguarge, it'll simulate as a barrel cannon with better traction.

I might use that for a future side level.

In all DKC hacks (not just yours), why is it that the K now penalizes the Kongs? Some act as enemies; others, if you collect it, the level ceases prematurely. Either way, you lose a life. What is it about the K?
