Well, after viewing it again, you are right about the SMW sounds thing, but the ending part is the same resolution as the actual gameplay shown, so yeah. It's probably like what some TVs did, where they stretch the screen a tiny bit.

Well, at least from what the SPC rips of Super Mario World, Earthworm Jim, Super Mario All-Stars, and the SNES Test Program have taught me.

No, the endings of DKC2, DKL2, and DKC3 have Dixie and DK together as well.

There's also those Mario Sports games, DK Jungle Climber (I think), and them Donkey Kongas (at least the 2nd one)
