So perhaps this isn't a 'DKC Project' like normal, but as part of my Metroid rom hacking endeavors I've been 'porting' different pieces of music over from other games. I've done two so far, which include Cavern Caprice (snes version) and Water World (gba version). QdBV2NRL9CE 7H41xJlehwI Thoughts? S...
I made a post about it here years ago, but basically, Funky doesn't have the fuel to do that. I still don't like Tropical Freeze, and I never will. Perhaps it's a good thing that mostly everyone seems to have left these forums? When would not liking tropical freeze everyone leaving the forum be goo...
So I was thinking in the shower and it dawned on me- if Funky can pretty much fly anywhere in DKC2 with his barrel plane...... why not just fly to the top of the island instead of going through all the dangerous terrain? Nintendo you MUST explain this obviously important plothole to me
So a new episode of "Did You Know Gaming" just dropped and it's about Diddy Kong! There is some interesting stuff here, like the various names for DKC 2 taken under consideration and his original design.
I beat the game, and I have a few things to say. Pros: -Ooh the music. They outdid themselves on this one point. I really like the remixes, and I must say these are the versions of the songs I will listen to now. -The graphics are fine. I like a lot of the updated sprites, but I do agree that the sp...
I haven't played the game, but I can say that it won't get me to buy a switch. It looks fun, but not interesting enough to get me to buy a new console. However, it does look very fun and I'd like to try it out some day.
Not sure how I would feel about a port of Tropical Freeze unless it added a substantial amount of content. However, I don't see a new DKC game as a non-existant possibility. We could end up actually getting a new game for the switch!
What about making it loop around the island? It can be hidden until you get on it or something. Make it like the Yooka-Laylee minecarts maybe? (But with actual control obviously)
Wow, that's really cool! The interviewer made a good point out of the fact that Reggie was the one that brought up DKC and Metroid. Perhaps this means something ala DK64 is coming?
Isn't there already a hack that somewhat does this? Actually, on second thought, it just randomized enemies (which was still cool). This would be a neat concept.
Yeah, it is quite sad to see it go. It gave Nintendo fans a good base to talk about games. But from a business perspective, it makes sense. Nintendo would rather have people talk on other media platforms so that they can spread the word to people who don't follow Nintendo.
I completely agree, and heck don't let it stop at DKC. Do Mario and Metroid too! I would love to see return to forms for these series, especially seeing how big the rom hacking scene is these days (I mean just look at SMW Central. I hope we become that after *someone* makes the DKC editor). Plus, it...
Yeah, I'm so excited for this game! This is literally the game that defines my childhood (well, along with DKC 2 but I digress). I have over 120 hours on my gba save file
Got to say, as much as I am excited that a new demo is coming, that overworld looks like *explicative*. Sorry, but I really don't like it. I preferred the way the first world was styled after the DKC overworlds with its grainy textures and whatnot. However, I'm still happy that the project is moving...
Wow, that is just impressive. I love things like this because they are so full of creativity and wonder. Also, your pen skills seem to be very well developed. How long have you done things like this?
