Re: General DKC Atlas Queries and Troubleshooting

Another way to go about diagnosing the problem would be to determine what makes that page different, seeing as it only happens on that particular page. There doesn't seem to be anything unusual other than the five YouTube videos that are embedded, so I'd start there. The "allowfullscreen" ...

The SDK2 editor has a built in search function that allows you to search for individual objects. According to it, the only blue balloons are a normal one in Topsail Trouble and a hidden one in Bramble Scramble. In DKC3: Lakeside Limbo (Hard to miss) Tracker Barrel Trek (Not Rocket Barrel Ride) Blazi...

Re: New/Working DKC2 Custom Hack: *Kongtraband*

1. Renaming levels inside the SDK2 editor is a bit awkward, but should work fine as long as each character is preceded by a comma. If it won't work, it should be just as easy to change the values with any hex editor. Level names start at 0x34D07C. 2. The sprite data is all heirarchial, in that commo...

Re: DKC Atlas Level Mapping Project

The MP3 spec requires a small section of silence at the beginning and end of the file which is automatically included by most programs when it it saved or created. Re: --Translated-- SDK2 Editor, SDK3 Editor & DKC3 Map Tools.

The tilesets used by the SDK2 editor are loaded directly from the rom and the correct palette is then applied. The SDK3 editor does not load the tiles from rom, but instead uses the images inside the "chips" folder. Any change to them would affect the appearance of a map in the editor. Thi...

Re: --Translated-- SDK2 Editor, SDK3 Editor & DKC3 Map Tools.

Both games are similar enough that sorting shouldn't do much more than rearrange the order of the items. Occasionally stuff breaks for no reason. Camera properties. - This was written based on the SDK3 editor, but it should be the same for the SDK2 editor. Re: NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (Wii)

I love Nights into Dreams. It is definitely one of my favourite games due to how bright and colourful it is. The gameplay is quite unique; if I had to describe it in one word, it would be "trippy". The controls and movements are very fluid, and the game itself is as hard as hell. I...

I'm going to guess the following: ⋅ I think it's safe to assume that the original rom Preposterify was using was headered. ⋅ When making the hack, the header was silently removed by DKCRE. ⋅ The patch was made by comparing between the original headered rom, and the hack...

Re: DKC3 - Unleashed

Hi, The patch is distributed in the ups format, which prevents it from being applied to the wrong rom. So first, you'll need the correct rom, which is the USA version of Donkey Kong Country 3. if necessary, the rom should be deinterleaved, and should not have a header. Interleaving is fairly uncommo...
