Chimp Caverns


Caves and abandoned mines are surrounded in this creepy cavern interior. This last part of Donkey Kong Island offers greater challenge and nastier traps and countless obstructions provided by the Kremlings. Travel through dark and quiet mines that almost look like haunted, ride on moving platforms by refueling them, or explore the caves here filled with dangerous objects and enemies. This is the last stop before you confront the wicked King Krool

Tanked Up Trouble

This is another conveyor-platform stage but this time you must give fuel to it so it can run or the platform will run out of gas and eventually it wall fall. There are five buttons on the platform. If you supply enough fuel, it will run normally. If it reaches to the middle button it will slow down. Give it fuel! If you have enough fuel when you reach the end of the track of the first conveyor-platform, stay there. The platform will magically go up and will allow you to get the Enguarde Token which is out of reach if you're down below
1 Bonus Room
  1. The first bonus room is commonly missed by most people. When you ride on the first platform, wait until you see the track goes upwards. When the platform goes up a little, drop down on the right side and into a well-hidden Barrel Cannon.

Manic Mincers

It's a cave stage filled with rolling wheels with sharp spikes on them. It's filled with Krushas too. Rambi is here to help you out and he's crate is visible. Near the end is a wall with an opening. It's not really a bonus stage but it's filled with wheels and bananas and letter "G".
2 Bonus Rooms
  1. The first bonus room is located on the right wall of the first pit. Krusha is guarding this pit. Carry a barrel and destroy the right wall to enter the first bonus room
  2. Just after exiting the cave with wheels on it and a letter "G", carry a barrel and destroy the right wall when you go right. (below the first stuck tire) This is the second bonus room.

Misty Mine

It's another abandoned mine stage. It's creepy and it's filled with fog and Skull Barrels spitting out baddies. It's an easy stage. Watch out for Klaptraps since you can't roll attack on them. Armys are here too near the end. Slippas are mostly sighted at the beginning and the end of this stage. Expresso is here too. Expresso is inside the first bonus room. See tips below.
2 Bonus Rooms
  1. Hit the Continue Barrel and ride on the very long moving rope. If you reach the end, climb way down and enter the opening into the first bonus room. At the end of this bonus room, you will see an Expresso Crate
  2. Exit the bonus room and you will see a barrel. Carry it to the right and you'll find a very small pit. Destroy the right wall and into the second bonus area

Loopy Lights

You're not out of the mines yet! In fact here comes another mine stage. It's dark here so switch the On and Off Barrels to switch on the lights. Watch out for Klaptraps jumping. They jump when you jump. At the end, avoid the Zingers and the slow rolling barrels of Manky Kong
2 Bonus Rooms
  1. Drop down on the first pit of this stage. A Barrel Cannon is located here which will shot you to the first bonus room.
  2. After destroying the Continue Barrel, go right until you find a Necky chucking coconuts over an On and Off Barrel Switch. Pounce on the Necky and grab a barrel (the barrel is located between the Continue Barrel and the switch). Carry the barrel to the right and hit it to the right wall just after the second On and Off Barrel Switch. This leads you to the last bonus stage.

Platform Perils

This is it! The very last stage of the game before you confront King Krool. This stage is fairly hard and it's filled with falling metallic platforms filled with baddies like Gnawty, Klump, and introduces the invulnerable "New and Improved" Krusha. This kind of Krusha is not beatable by Donkey Kong and Diddy obviously. Barrels can eliminate this Krusha. Near the end, the platforms are filled with strong Krushas so grab a barrel quickly and use Donkey Kong to bash Krusha. Good Luck!
2 Bonus Rooms
  1. At the beginning, go to the first platform. When the platform moves to the right. Jump and try to miss that platform. You will land on another platform hidden below it and it will direct you to the Barrel Cannon.
  2. Reach the exit and go back to the last falling platform. Ride on it and when it falls, jump to the right and you will see a Barrel Cannon which will launch you to the very final bonus stage of the game

Necky's Revenge

The Giant Necky is back again for vengeance. He spits coconuts at you again but each time you bop on him, he will add another coconut on his spitting attack. He will spit one, two, three, and four. Bop on him some more and you'll knock him out cold.
