Racing Circuits

Adventure Mode
Adventure mode is made up of several race circuits and individual challenges that are around Timber's Island. You can decide just to race around, trying to be first place, or you can give it all you've got and go for Wizpig.

Golden Balloon Race
The first thing you'll do in each area is race for the golden balloons. The numbers on the doors represent how many golden balloons you need to open them. When you finish in first place in a race, Taj will come on his magic carpet and deliver you a balloon. When you receive this balloon, the number on the door changes to a balloon to show that you have completed it.

Boss Challenge
Wizpig put a spell on several of the island's residents and placed them in charge of courses. Once you complete all four balloon races in each area, you meet the boss of the area. You will race him in a head-to-head contest. When you win, you'll learn about the Silver Coin Challenge. When you lose, you are sent back to the lobby to practice your racing skills and try again. Even after you beat him, he will always accept another challenge to a race if you feel like it.

Silver Coin Challenge
The Silver Coin Challenge is the second major thing you can do. With the Silver Coin Challenge, you race around the same tracks, but you must collect eight silver coins on the way and come in first to recieve another golden balloon. It is a good idea to collect all of the silver coins in the first two laps and then go for first place in the last.

Boss Rematch
After you accomplish the Silver Coin Challenge, you will race the boss of the area again. The race will be on the same track, but the boss will go a bit faster and there are more obstacles to deal with. If you win, you'll free the boss from Wizpig's spell and receive a piece of the magical Wizpig amulet as a token of your victory. Once you receive all four pieces of the WIzpig Amulet, you can race Wizpig himself!

Trophy Race
Once the boss of the area is free, the tracks in that ares will return to normal. They host regular competitions and if you win you receive a trophy. To enter the Trophy Race, come up and touch the glass box in a separate room inside the area. You'll race on every track in that area and earn points to where you are placed. First place gets the most points and second gets a little less. Depending on where you place at the end of the circuit, you may win a beautiful bronze, silver, or golden trophy!

T.T. Challenge
Behind the door with a key in it lie challenges that T.T. created himself. The key to the door is hidden by T.T. in one of the local tracks. If you win a challenge, you'll receive a piece of the T.T. Amulet. Complete the four pieces of the amulet to open the way to the way to the ultimate race!

Tracks Mode
Besides the Adventure Mode, there is also a multiplayer Tracks mode that allows up to four human-controlled drivers to compete in races. At the end of a race, you'll be able to see who truly is the king or queen of the road!

Time Trial
The Time Trial option is available in both Adventure and Tracks mode. You can choose whether you want to turn the Time Trial option on or off if its only one person playing. Also, if you beat T.T.'s Meet Times, you'll get to race him. T.T. goes much faster than anyone else, except for Drumstick. (T.T. goes only about 2 points faster than Drumstick.) If you beat all of T.T.'s times in  the Time Trial mode, with the default vehicle, you'll get the option to be T.T!

Two Players
In the Two Players mode, two racers can race head to head in any track that you've already opened in Adventure Mode. You can choose to race only against each other, or with 2 or 4 other computer racers. Most tracks will give you a choice of which vehicle you want, and each person can choose what vehicle they want to use. The computer-controlled drivers always use the same vehicle as player 1 does. These tracks are all basic, with no golden balloons, silver coins, or keys on the tracks. All you can earn is bragging rights!

Three to Four Players
No computer drivers are allowed in three and four player racers. These competitions are the same as the two-player races, but the screen is divided into four parts. If there are only three people, the third section will either be a map or camera in races, or in battle mode it will be the number of bananas left of each computer-controlled racer.
